Dr. John Sarno's Top 10 Healing Discoveries

Even for someone who has read all of Sarno's books, this book is tremendously helpful!!!!!
I had read all of Dr. Sarno's books and questioned whether it was money well spent to buy something that I perhaps "already knew." Well, let me assure you that this book is worth its weight in GOLD!!!!! I have read 3 of Steve Ozanich's books on chronic pain/TMS and would basically buy anything else he writes on the subject. He is a fantastic writer and has an amazing ability to communicate helpful information. Even though I was already very familiar with Sarno's principles, I got a lot out of this gem of a book. I wouldn't think twice about buying it. I have highlighted something on virtually every page. AAA+++

An excellent and quick review of Sarno's Mind Body Concepts. This belongs in your library.
I relied heavily on the author's last book to get me through a lot of pain.I was not sure if this book would be of any value, as I'd already read most of the content, and was very familiar with the info. It wasn't until I completed the whole book that I sat back and realized that these books go hand in hand.Look at "The Great Pain Deception" as your War and Peace vs. TMS.Now put "10 Healing Discoveries" in your shirt pocket, because these are the Cliffs Notes that help to succeed.I think "The Great Pain Deception" is a pivotal book in exploring the Mind Body conundrum. It drives the same points home that Sarno does, but expands on them with personal experience and solid research. With that said, there is a LOT of data in that book. I've read it through a few times, and I always find more info to apply to my situation.Reading "10 Healing Discoveries" takes those well researched points, and refines them to a very compact and easy to digest format.I think this would make a great companion to anyone who has read "The Great Pain Deception."I ALSO think that this makes a great book on its own, for anyone learning about Mind Body Syndromes. I would actually recommend this book FIRST to some of my friends, with the promise of the larger and more comprehensive "Great Pain Deception" as a follow up/reference/proof of concept. All of this aside - Many thanks to the author, Steve Ozanich. I can still remember the day I was sitting on the couch and realized - My back didn't hurt anymore. And it hasn't since.

Summary of Sarno's work
This brief book is a good summary of Dr. Sarno's theories about the mind/body connection of pain. It went into more detail about the psychological aspects and Carl Jung than Dr. Sarno's book Healing Back Pain. I am really looking more for a "how to" of implementing Dr. Sarno's method.

Pocket Guide to TMS
Having been cured of back, knee, shoulder, hip and neck pain by reading Dr John Sarno's books, I was delighted that Steve Ozanich compiled an abbreviated volume to use as a reminder when occasional flareups occur. I LOVED Ozanich's Pain Deception book and believe using his book in conjunction with Sarno's gave me powerful tools to use for healing. It is very evident that Ozanich is a huge fan of Dr Sarno's and with good reason given his pain history. I notice some reviewers were put off by his 'hero worship' of the great doctor. I feel that is irrelevant to the message: Dr Sarno's techniques WORK! But one must commit. Say goodbye to all the treatments that have not worked for you over the years and jump feet first into TMS! I had a hard time letting go of my beloved chiropractor until I realized I had been going for years with only temporary improvement. Once I became painfree, I did not want to ever go back to pains that moved from one place to another in my body. This book touches on the major healing points and as such is a handy reference book to those who are already in Sarno's camp. For those looking into TMS for the first time, this book serves as a good intro.I've got it loaded into my Kindle, ready when I need it. Thanks, Steve!

Excellent short summary of Dr. Sarno's work
The book is well worth it's time and cost. Anyone who has frequented a chiropractor or who has been diagnosed with depression or fibromyalgia should, in my opinion, read this book and prayerfully consider it's premise. It even articulates why people tend to resist believing Dr Sarno. No one wants to be told that their pain of many years has been all in their head. Read the book with an open mind, carefully considering the times when you had the most pain and what personal stresses preceded the sickness as you read. I would also encourage re-reading Sarno s book(s) with an open mind. Consider the benefits from not having costs and long-term side effects of pain meds. Maybe you'll never believe that all of your pain is all in your mind. Maybe, though, you'll acknowledge that at least some of the pain is triggered by stresses or lifestyle changes you can control. I believe u will be glad u read this book.

Easy read that will empower you in your health issues!
Steve Ozanich is the "TMS Whisperer" and has helped an untold amount of people heal from chronic health conditions. This book is a perfect "on-boarding" for a person new to the world of MindBody health issues. It's a quick, easy read and will bring you up to speed with all you need to know for healing. His other book, "The Great Pain Deception" is a heftier tome and is the next step after this primer.I love his acknowledgement of Dr. John Sarno in every thing he produces. He credits his healing to this wonderful doctor (now deceased) and has made it his mission to continue in Sarno's work.Steve is not only a fabulous writer, his knowledge of TMS is highly sought after by physicians and other experts. He is generous with his time and wisdom on forums and also maintains a YouTube channel of people who share their testimonials of healing. Oh, he's hilarious too!

It worked for me with rhymatoid arthritis
In addition to being a mindbody health consultant, the Ohio-based Ozanich is a health blogger with JenningsWire, a health lecturer, personal fitness trainer, acoustic guitar player, and golf-swing coach.

You need to know this information and your doctor's don't. Or, if they do, won't tell you.
This book is one of a few written by or about Dr. Sarno's work regarding hearts and healing. He and Dr. Mann have the best insights into the field. The writing is thorough and easy to get through. My wife has been to see multiple heart specialists regarding extremely (read dangerous) high blood pressure levels. All specialists that she was sent to know little about the heart and its systems. They know only about potential cocktails of drugs to try - they don't even know much about them. One confessed that his 8 years in medical school to get his specialist degree did not once mention anything to do with emotion or mind. If you think maybe that's right, think about how many situation can get your heart racing and your blood pressure up "too far". De. Sarno's book gives you an understanding probably greater than any specialist you go to.

Helpful short read
I've read all of Dr Sarno's books and they've helped me immensely. But I keep reading more on the subject to keep my knowledge fresh and my TMS symptoms from sneaking back in. This book worked great for that purpose.

Libro profundo y maravilloso !

A good synthesis
I am interested very much in the theories and practical outcomes of Dr. Sarno's research and bought this book in order to find practical hints. The book makes a good syntesis of the most important points, but did not really add new things to what I already knew. So I liked the synthesis and would have been happy to find even more concrete hints.
