Fisher-Price Octonauts Remote Control Gup-K

This Gup is perfect for toddlers who love Octonauts. The remote makes it go forward and spins it around backwards. As the Gup moves, so do the jaws. It includes two swamp speeders, a water dart cannon with "water" that actually shoots out when you press the cannon button, Captain Barnacles and the baby alligator. The Gup and remote both require batteries that are not included with it, so have those ready. You do have to stay pretty close to the Gup with the remote for it to function. There is an off/on switch on the bottom of the Gup. If you forget to turn it off, it automatically does it for you to conserve batteries. I am very surprised by how long our first set of batteries have lasted. The small parts are a little hard to keep up with at times, but I think we can all agree this is common with all toddler toys!

It took a while to come in so my impatient 3 year-old wasn’t happy but the product itself is great. I read a few reviews that stated the batteries died within a few hours but we’re going on 2 weeks now with the same batteries. The remote is simple and he can easily steer. The only negative I would say is that sometimes the remote loses its connection to the Gup and you have to toggle the off/on switch on the underneath a few times to get it to connect again. He’s got that figured out tho so it’s not a big issue for us at all.

Wow. I was totally impressed with the quality of this item. The remote seems to work well and it is heavy for good control. It only turns one way and only while reversing but I would definitely recommend this to any fan of the Octonauts.

I had to get this gup because unlike any of the others it's remote controlled! We bought this for our grandson. He was so delighted when he opened it up. He played with it immediately! It's a nice, sturdy vehicle. It's big and it's fun that the mouth opens and shuts as it moves. The little alligator has a nice feel to it- you'll see what I mean when you get it. Love that it has the cannon with a water ball attachment that can be launched from it . The two yellow vehicles snap on top which is fun. I like the detail of the little windshield in the front. Everything about it is great even while stationary. The only reason I gave it four stars is I'm sad that it can't be moved to the left or the right. Just forward or backwards. So why would I put four stars when everything else is so great? Because you have to manually maneuver the vehicle when it butts up against something since you can't turn it left or right and of course that happens a lot. On the bright side, it does go forward and backwards remotely which is better than not having any remote. Considering all aspects of this gup, all in all, having this gup is a fun new addition to the collection!

Paid less than $20 here on Amazon, wouldn't have paid more for it. It's nice, sturdy and bigger than I thought, fun accessories, but the full list price is not justified for the play value from this. Unless you have more character pieces it's not all that fun. Happy for the boy playing with it that we found it at 70% off.

This Gup K is great! My 3 year old is Octonaut obsessed, so naturally, we had to add this Gup to our collection. I like how the controller is simple for little hands to use (forward and backward only). It comes with lots of accessories, including a plastic slime shooter (my son's favorite). He also loves the two swamp speeders that are included. Overall, great toy and a must have for Octonauts fans!

My 3 year old grandson is obsessed with the Octonaut toys and was thrilled to receive this one from me for Christmas to add to his collection. It his first remote control toy and it holds up to the Fisher Price reputation.

This is a fun product but it doesn't last. After a few hours of play it stops working correctly. It's like there is a delay in the action. You click the remote and it won't do anything, then it goes for a little bit. I have changed the batteries twice and nothing helps.I'm calling Fisher-Price customer service as they need to replace this product. You can't preserve the box because you have to completely dismantle it to get the product out.

Awesome toy! My son LOVED it. We have probably 15 Gups now but this is a favourite! The details on the back of the remote even mimic a device Tweak has in the episode she picks this Gup for the Swamps. The mouth opens and closes as it drives. The gun launches slime. Comes with a character & an crocodile- not shown in my pictures. Great quality!! A must have for Octo fans. Mine has been playing with it constantly since Christmas!!

Mein Sohn ist absolut happy. Die Fernbedienung ist auch für kleine Kinder und auch im Aussenbereich einsetzbar. Ein Muss für alle Oktonautenfans.

Il gioco è molto carino, forse un po' troppo costoso per quel che vale. Il dardo lo abbiamo perso il primo giorno e abbiamo ricontrato anche noi (avevo letto un commento che lamentava lo stesso problema) che dopo qualche giorno effettivamente il gup risponde meno prontamente ai comandi, come se non ricevesse. Ci vuole un po' perché torni a funzionare bene. Spedizione perfetta, come sempre.

It is very expensive. Lacks value for the money.
