***BUYER BEWARE *** This product is a cheap Chinese knock-off. The material is not sturdy at all and bends very easily. The product is not what is pictured and if you order, you will regret it. This is a horrible product with misleading description and marketing.

I haven't written a review before but wanted to let people know that it doesn't look like what's pictured. I thought it would be the Burpee brand. It's a Chinese knock off, and very small.

I received the item new, tried to push it in the dirt and it wouldnt go, so I gave it a twist, it still wouldnt go, did it some more, and the whole thing bent in my hands. I suppose if you were Pepples Flintstone and digging in play sand, then maybe... but if you're a real gardener, and digging in the dirt, which is what this was made for, then keep looking.

Got this two days ago and went to go use it to plant bulbs today and only got one hole dug before the tool just bent in half. Extremely NOT sturdy or durable. Thought this would make the bulb planting process faster and easier than using a shovel but nope I was mistaken.

Reading the reviews, it sounds like a whole bunch of items are mixed together. Many give 5 stars and some give 1 or 2 and the description doesn't sound correct so I wonder if they are for the same tool.I bought the Steel Bulb Planter and used it to plant about 50 perennial seedlings in an area that was lawn that I had smothered with paper and mulch for a couple months to convert it to a new bed. I had to cut 50 circles through dead sod and had no problem doing it with this tool. No flex or bending. Yeah it took a little bit of effort but not more than expected considering i'm digging into sod and not soil. It was easier than trying to dig a circle with a trowel. I cannot imagine how much harder it would have been without this tool.

I bought this because I’ve had one of these in the past and they’re so easy for people that likes to plant bulbs. I also bought this because I have a tree that needs a certain type of vitamins and I have to dig a hole to put it in the ground. And it’s so much easier just to use this and twist put whatever I need in the ground and put the dirt back on it it’s quick and it’s easy. I would highly recommend this. Enjoy.

This is a solid tool. Needs a bit of muscle to get through impacted soil/lawn, put pulls out a nice plug. Instead of bulbs, I've been using to it transplant violas in the lawn to the garden. Highly recommended.

I searched around for my first dibber/dibble/dibbler and due to my crocus bulbs arriving quite late in the fall with the ground already freezing up I decided that a T-shaped handle might be easier to hold and prevent getting blisters on my palm whilst pushing a hole into hard or semi-frozen ground. The straight “pole” like handle concentrates pressure at the center of the palm and after a few hundred bulbs it will surely cause a nice blister. The T-grip worked quite handily and was easy to enlarge the hole by moving it around similar to driving a stick shift. It is sturdy and should last a long time with care. Looking forward to seeing how all of those early springtime crocus flowers look scattered across my heretofore mundane front lawn.

I was too late in ordering to be able to use this last Fall.But the construction of this tool looks very good and I think it will be very helpful for bulb planting .Good price and delivery time !
