Works well for my dry eye issue, lovely fabric color!
I like the ultra quiet and the auto shutoff safety features. Besides, the grey fabric look matches so well with my roomโs color and furniture, which I seldom found in the market. The humidity power is fast and good, lasting pretty long time for each fill. I am not too picky about using tap water vs distilled water from budget perspective. I think nature moisture in the air contains minerals vaporized from rain, rivers, & ponds. But people who may be sensitive to tap water could use distilled water, which would help reduce frequency of cleaning the mineral deposits in the tank. I have a habit of rinsing out the leftover water in the tank each time I change water, therefore the tank is pretty clean without much mineral deposits accumulated. I havenโt used the warm mist feature since itโs summer time (bought in May) but look forward to trying in the winter. So far, it works well for me and did reduce quite a bit my dry eye uncomfortable issue.

A STAPLE for our house
We use this daily and itโs become one of those products I didnโt know I needed until I had it. The digital display makes it so easy to see the exact humidity level at a glance, and I love that it has both warm and cool mist options depending on the season. Top-fill design makes refilling and cleaning simple โ no awkward flipping the tank upside down like older humidifiers Iโve used. The remote is a nice touch too since I donโt have to get up to adjust settings once itโs running. Also, very quiet and compact making it easy to move around. Itโs become part of our regular home routine and honestly one of my favorite additions to our space this year.

Turns off each time a droplet enters tube, useless
Always use distilled water, not tap water, since the white dust in the tap water (the minerals) will completely destroy young lungs in the long run and give you pneumonia, asthma and other diseases. Avoid humidifiers where the cylinder has holes or is not solid as they flood the house. I bought both the grey one from amazon and the white one from the walmart store. Both are a disaster and here is why. 1. the white one 45$ spews droplets in the air, not a humid vapor like the other humidifiers. Good humidifiers got a solid cylinder that keeps water away from the rising vapor, a plastic tube thru which ultrasonic vapor rises. The white Crane one got huge gaps thru the central cylinder. Due to the water going in on the Crane in the cylinder at all levels, the humidifier has only 2 inches to shoot the vapor and lots of droplets come out making a pool of water on the floor, carpet or table, destroying peopleโs carpets, furniture without them realizing. This water pool never happens with humidifiers with solid cylinders where water is only 10-15% of the cylinder height, not 80%, and where the top of cylinder is partially blocked to prevent droplet splashing. The cheaper cool mist only 2.5 L Levoit units can perform way better since the tube is solid and wonโt make a pool. The other humidifiers often also have a much better system of diverting vapor to prevent any droplets from splashing nearby. USA imports a lot of junk from other countries, as the goal is profit at all costs. 2. the grey crane 75$, with buttons, lights and no way to avoid lights fully off like with Levoit, with one drop still showing up, one lighted icon...the grey crane humidifier can heat water and The silver 1 inch diameter circle where ultrasound comes from gets dirty with grey brown 5 mm spot within 3-4 days, when using distilled water. You can only imagine how much grey will exist after 1 year, since vinegar soak does not prevent biofilm formation and adherence, dirt biofilm which is 1000 times stronger, due to scale being 1000 times higher in tap water, than in distilled water. Yet, these imbeciles chose grey color and people can die from moldy infected dirty humidifiers. By law, all humidifiers need to be white to allow people to see these yellow, light grey, beige, black mold traces. No wonder it got 3.9 stars versus 5.0 for other humidifiers. On amazon, anything below 4.3 stars is suspect, so read the 1 star reviews and think twice about those below 4.0. Humidifiers can break fast with daily use, so 4 year warranty is a must so you can replace it or get money back to buy new brand . If you move the grey Crane, it may give โno water presentโ error or EF code, which means you got water in the tube or into the other container that holds the removable container, so you will need to empty THE WHOLE THING BY INVERTING IT first to get rid of EF or drop shape light error. The Crane one will not get rid of the โno water presentโ drop light error if you got some drops into the tube, so some returned it per amazon reviews as it gets very annoying and it requires too much work to get that tube dry all the time, perhaps you need pour water super slowly, while covering the tube with some temporary cap from a bottle, or perhaps you need to fix a manufacturing defect in the sensor, which is impossible. There are 7 balls inside a grated device that screws into the base which are impossible to clean well. A good 4.7 star humidifier is Petsaint from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Petsaint-Humidifiers-Bedroom-Ultrasonic-Humidifier/dp/B0DBHPZF6Z , with UV control. Another good one without UV is the easiest to clean: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D544BF1L stainless steel pot heated like a pressure cooker or rice cooker is heated, donโt use tap water as all volatiles inside go into your lungs, eyes. This is 100 times easier to clean than the other ones so not having UV is not an issue, as with the plastic types, it is impossible to correctly brush every corner and biofilm, mold, etc will grow, even if not black that you can see. This stainless steel pot type if by far the safest type versus the rest where 50 grooves, corners, balls, shapes make it so hard to clean. the grey crane turns off each time you move it slighly, need to turn plug power strip off, turn it back on to reset, very annoying.

Great features and works well.
I love this humidifier. I believe it accurately detects the humidity level in the room. I like that you can really adjust the output. Easy to fill I also love the purple light. The features are also great because you can change your mist to warm, it has an ionizer and it has UV light for the water tank. This is my second one this time I got the extended warranty.

Doing great so far
Works well enough if you follow the space recommendations. I bought this in winter, and of course with the heat running constantly it could not maintain the humidity above 40% (my house has poor seals around doors and windows) but I could still feel a noticeable difference when I woke up. Sinuses weren't like the Sahara. I regularly run the ionization/UV feature and have not had any problems with mold or mildew. I just wipe it out with a clean cloth and diluted vinegar occasionally. There are a few "quirks" I don't like: -the preset modes aren't great. I always put it on manual mode and set it to what I feel like for that time. -you can only choose humidity settings by the 10's. So 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60%. No numbers like 32 or 45. Probably my biggest complaint. -the essential oil port is very flimsy and falls out a lot. I just removed it so that it doesn't end up broken before I can buy some oils to try. -It will shut down and the "no water" symbol will pop up when it is in fact not empty. I have seen some people here recommending only using filtered water to prevent buildup, or alternatively only tap water because you need ions to run the ionization. Both make sense to me, so I use a mix of distilled water and tap water that has been sitting out for at least a few hours (so that chlorine/chloramines/other gases can escape). But still it will shut down and tell me it's empty no matter which water I use. I have tested all 3 and it can happen anytime. Usually I can just turn it off briefly then restart and it will resume. But when it happens in the middle of the night I'm out of luck. I've only had it for about a month so will update at 6 if things are still going well, or sooner if not.

Wont retain mist setting.
Lots of good features but it wont stay on the mist settings through the night. Set on 2 and sometime during the night it goes up to highest setting and uses a excessive amount of water. I talked to Crane customer service and set it as they instructed but it still changed during the night. Would be nice if it had a lock feature on the control.

Best Humidifier/Evaporator out there!!!
I live in a desert and have allergies. I have to add moisture to my room at night or my nose dries out so bad it bleeds. I tried a good half a dozen of these things before I found one that met all my needs, or at least comes close. At night I am very sensitive to every noise and light and this machine fit those needs. It does occasionally make a very soft bubbling sound. Kind of like the bubbling of a small fish tank. The lights have a night mode which turn off all the lights accept the small light letting you know it is in night mode. Personally I am so sensitive I covered that little light with black tape. My only issue is that the warm mist isn't very warm. It is slightly warmer than the cold, but not by much. Probably my favorite thing about it is it is so, so easy to clean, and it stays clean too. I know as long as they keep making them this will be the only humidifier/evaporator I ever buy again. Oh yeah and it doesn't put out that annoying whistle sound that so many of the ultrasonic machines do. That was a huge + for me!!!
