The ONLY moisturizer that hasn’t made me breakout
I’ve literally tried hundreds of moisturizers over the years and had luck with none. All of them either make me breakout, caused clogged pores, were too oily, weren’t moisturizing enough to heal my extemely parched and dehydrated skin etc. I was getting ready to give up and accept that I would never have a clear complexion like I use to.Long story short, I discovered I had fungal acne which was a breakthrough for me and explained why I could never tolerate any skincare products. I saw this was safest recommended moisturizer for fungal acne and seborrheic dermatitis on the Simple Skincare Science blog, and bought it on a whim. It’s been about 4 weeks now, and I’ve yet to develop one pimple, and my skin is slowly but surely healing. I am so eternally grateful for this product and Avene as a company, and I hope they never ever stop making this because my livelihood and mental health literally depend on it.Thank you thank you thank you!!

Squirts our too much/ better with update!!
I do like this product a lot as it won’t aggravate my skin. However, it absolutely needs better packaging, perhaps a pump. I find it irritating that you can’t squeeze out a small amount. And for the price, it then goes very quickly. I just used the one I re-ordered today already knowing it comes out quickly. It still shot out too much and I ended up wasting a good amount. I have tried to find a comparable product for this very reason.UPDATE: thank you to the reviewer who said to hold the tube horizontally. Works like a charm! DO NOT HOLD TUBE UPSIDE DOWN! You will squeeze way too much and waste expensive product. Thank you also to the reviewer who says to cut off bottom at end of product use. I will try that too and hopefully get more applications. I upgraded my stars from 3 to 4 because of this.

Repurchasing
Here for my second bottle. Use daily. Originally purchased on the suspicion that I had some fungal acne going on, was recommended on Skincare Science blog that it was the cleanest option around. Glad I purchased despite the price. Turns out I do have fungal acne! Sloooooooowly clearing up. To note, I do believe this has given me some milia under my eyes, so I'll be switching to something else for that area.

Lotion is OK but pricey. I've found some better, less expensive brands that work well for my combination, acne prone skin. Dispenser is finicky and hard to control. Too much lotion is released, causing product waist. Because the dispenser is the kind that is sealed, there is a lot of (expensive) left over lotion that is thrown away. Package needs improvement

I do like/sorta love this lotion. When I moved last January my plugged- up- pores situation suddenly got much worse. Granted, I'm told others can't see them (even the Dermatologist who is well over 40 and when he looked, I doubt he could see anything close up without glasses anyway). But I have used a magnified mirror for many years now because I cannot see close up to apply makeup, lotions, or tweeze my brows; And I CAN see the plugged pores and HATE them. I am 68 so now why the heck do I still have these issues? Well I do so I've read extensively about how to treat them. If I want to spend hours doing many things to my skin such as steaming, masks, and so much more, my skin MAY improve, but I have tried these things to no avail so I'm done. So I simplified. I use the recommended cleanser, lotions/sunscreens (this is one), Vit C serum, and that's it. My only treatment now is RetinA 0.05%. The thing I'm not sure of is whether this lotion contributes to my plugged pores. But I have to have a moisturizer and this along with one I also use one by La Roche-Posey (can't remember name, sorry, I'm old, lol) Both were recommended by the male blogger who has researched facial fungus thoroughly. My Derm and Primary Nurse Practitioner both insist I don't have fungus, but I believe it's smart to still use the recommended products. I will continue using this lotion with no fragrances, no preservatives, and carefully chosen ingredients. It soaks in well, has never burned my eyes, and does an excellent job keeping my skin supple while using RetinA. I think there doesn't exist a lotion that won't contribute to plugged pores. I'm also told that as we age, the skin has a harder time ridding the pores of oil and debris. That's where the RetinA (I just started it last week} comes in cuz it increases cell turnover. I tried the over the counter Differin but got absolutely no results after 3 months so I gave up. For all those out there struggling with plugged up pores, especially those of age, this lotion may well be one of a few that have all its excellent properties. I just ordered my 2nd tube and pray the RetinA works over time.

Great for sensitive skin
I have acne prone, dry/combination, sensitive skin (in my 30s). Every product makes me break out and irritates me - no matter what. And then my skin settles down to reap the benefits of the product. Not with Avene. This did NOT break me out nor did it irritate my skin. It went to work straight away - it's light and calming, soothing and hydrating. It feels really nice on my skin, as if blanketing it with a protective layer. It sinks in quickly, does not leave a film, and does not feel greasy at all. I do recommend using a thin layer. Or letting the 1st layer completely dry before adding a second layer. Otherwise, the lotion will slide around rather than sink in. I use this during the day and for more richly hydrating moisture, at night I use the Rich Compensating Cream (which I also love!). I've tried so many products, affordable and insanely expensive, but none come close to this. I'm very happy I found Avene and will be exploring their other products as well. Highly recommend and definitely will be repurchasing.

Crazy expensive, but its the best
I tried so hard to get away from this product because of the crazy amount you need to pay, but literally nothing works as well as this. My face gets super oily with everything except for this.Only thing is the nozzle thing is hard to control. At first I wasted a lot, but I figured the best way to dispense this is put it flat on the palm of your hand to dispense. You can control how much comes out much better that way and i'm no longer wasting half of it.
