NICREWFish Tank Filter, Internal Aquarium Filter for Small Tank, Coldwater or Tropical Aquariums, 40-80L Black

Would likely be good, back in the days when Goldfish Bowls were still a thing.Bought one in May, last year. That one died on me, July, This year. Dunno what happened there. I don't mind. Just grabbed another, look.I use these in my frogs tank. Supposedly a temporary affair. Frog sits in a couple of inches of water. This thing keeps it moving. I change the bulk of the water out, twice a week. Clean this out then too.I don't enjoy it. Picking the little cap off the bottom. To get at the little bit of sponge in there. (Could do with longer finger nails)But, there it is. Better, by far, to have it than not. Frog's thriving anyway. Beyond a couple of gallons of water though? Forget this! Get a 'Proper' filter.

I use this filter for a 22L aquarium with 6 Endler guppies, 6 Vietnamese cardinal minnows, several Neocaridina shrimp, and some Ramshorn snails. The aquarium also has plenty of plants. It does a really good job of filtering it.I found the output to be a bit on the strong side which was fine for the VCMs but a bit too much for the Endlers, so I drilled several more holes in the spray bar opposite the existing ones. This allows for the same amount of flow through the filter but reduces the current flow considerably in the aquarium.I also don't like using activated carbon other than to remove chemical treatments, so I removed it and replaced it with some extra filter foam.It is not silent, but no filter is. However, it is very quite, much quieter than running even the smallest air pump to power an equivalent sized sponge filter.Overall, it's a great little filter. The only improvement for me would be a simple flow control built into the pump head to accommodate the gentler fish in the hobby in the smaller aquaria.

The media could not be loaded.  Yeah really decent filter not bad for the price you pay for it I have the one for 40-80 litre as my tank is 58 litres done a good job I would suggest getting some filter floss though helps with making the water super clear. But a very good filter easy to set up.

Bought an aquaponic fish tank 5 months ago it came with a bulky ineffective water filter. Had it replaced by the shop and still did not work. To avoid the hassle thought I would purchase this one on Amazon. I love it it is very strong at filtering turn it off when feeding, but at least I know it works, just been using it for a couple days so hoping it lasts a long time.In addition great customer service from seller

Using on 40ltr tropical tank. Has cleared water quickly and fish love the bubble effect. So far working great.
