Good Choice for CNC Machine
The product comes in good packaging so it is hard to damage during transport. The product has an overall great quality appearance. The shaft is 10mm and I found it hard to get a 20T 10mm GT2 pulley. I settled for a 36T pulley. The package included a drawing of the motor assembly as well as a manual for the controller. The colour coding for the motor's cable is not indicated on the drawing, so I had to use a multimeter to find the correct wire colour's and match it to a pin number. Connection to the controller is easy. Also included in the kit is an RS232 cable to connect the controller to a PC to change settings in the controller. This is not strictly needed since there is a DIP switch on the controller to set the micro-stepping as well as an auto-tune dip switch.Since it is a closed-loop system, the motors are very silent in idle mode compared to the previous open-loop stepper motors that I have replaced.Lastly, this is a NEMA 24 motor. It is slightly bigger (3mm) than the popular NEMA 23 motors.I am glad I made this purchase.

It works - with some work
PRO - It works and its accurate and when testing under load regains any lost steps. All in all I would buy this again for the 115.00 price, if I needed more. If your on a budget, with time to spare then I think this is a fantastic deal, but please read the cons.CON - my god a child with crayons could have made a better wiring diagram. Had to use a volt meter to figure out the encoder wiring. So either I'm stupid (possible) and don't know how to read their diagram, or the Pinout in the cable they sent is EB+(Blue), EB-(Black), EA+(Green), EA-(Yellow), VCC(Red), GND(white). So the pairs were listed correctly, but the positive and commons were all reversed. When hooked up according to their pinout the thing just sits there and shakes. Once this was correctly it works fine.

Better than I expected
I really like this closed loop stepper. it's not super big like a nema 34. has a flattened surface on the shaft to allow for a grub screw to secure the coupler. (it's not keyed) be sure to get a 10mm Id shaft coupler for stepper side and whatever size your ball screw is for the ball screw side when attaching it to a ball screw. or whatever you're attaching to the shaft, make sure it's 10mm. more powerful than I thought it would be and never misses a step. on a 5mm pitch ball screw I can easily get 4500mm/min with a resolution of 2500 steps per mm, with those fancy micro stepping dip switches and 5us step timing (I know it says to do 16us but it works fine with 5us) the folks at stepperonline are very helpful to with their support. I will be buying more of these in time. very good price as well.

Nicely packaged. Good value. Strong motors.
Everything looks good so far. Motors are 8a. Drivers only go up to 7a. Use a 36v 10a psu so you get the 80% rule covered. Amps are better that volts.
