This water leak alarm is loud and it works well. I already owned one of these leak alarms and I purchased another 3 of these alarms. I purchased one more for myself and 2 for my neighbors. We all have basements with sump pumps. If the sump pump quits pumping we need to know it. While others beep for you, and even try to send messages to your phone (usually when you're asleep), this one will definitely wake you up or otherwise get your attention if it gets wet. You'll not miss this alarm, nor will you have a water disaster unless you are DEAF. Great purchase!

I have it out in the garage. When I tested it, it seems sensitive enough but if I am standing outside I can not hear it when it goes off in the garage.

I like this mostly because it is one of the few such units that detects moisture instead of standing water. I put it on a paper towel which collects the falling drops and activates the alarm even for a very small leak. Also, the alarm is loud enough to be heard throughout the house.

While this may have made a super loud noise, it did not fit in my water heater pan, so I sent it back.

Wish I’d had this little gizmo before my washer backed up into the game room sink. I’d just moved into my house and the game room was full of unpacked boxes. So I had a real mess but if it ever happens again I know I’ll have a warning. It is very loud!

After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase one to try it out. Wow!!! Amazing. It may be small but it projects a shrieking sound that would wake up anyone from a dead sleep once it touches moisture. Great for moisture detecting but the downfall is you have to remember to change the batteries.
