easy to install
Easy to replace old blades. Product came quickly and blades did fit two different clippers that I had.

Better than buying new clippers
Sharp. Well-made. With the multi-pack I will change more often - I usually wait until the dog/cat toenails don't obviously cut well when I should have changed the blade earlier.

Cuts my lab's nails
I use these for my lab, his nails grow very fast and I will not pay to get them clipped weekly as I do it. This barely fits over his wide nails. If you have a dog larger than a lab, retriever, shepard, etc. then these may not fit over your dog's nails. It does take some force to squeeze down and do a quick, painless cut. You do need good hand strength. The longer you take to squeeze the more uncomfortable it gets for the dog. Taking too long to cut causes possible chance of splitting of the nail will happen.

Not exactly a kit
When I think of a "kit," something like the word "survival" comes to mind. I think Resco got a little carried away by calling this a kit. This is simply 6 blades in a plastic case. Sure, the case can be resealed and stored in a drawer. But for this to be a true trimmer kit, I'd expect something like a small tube of oil to lubricate the blades, (like the ones included in a hair trimmer kit). Let's agree to call it nail trimming "tackle" (like fishing tackle). Now, about the blades, I don't find mine to be particularly sharp. The blades from my Four Paws trimmer (a rival brand) were sharper out of the box. However, I'm hoping that these Resco blades will maintain their durability longer than my other blades. The box for the Resco trimmer says "Made in America," but this trimming--tackle--doesn't label its origin outright. It's so precious to buy anything that's actually made in the US anymore that I want these American blades to be top-notch!It's safe to say that most purchasers of these blades do so out of frugality; how fantastic it would be to be able to sharpen these blades at home!I've been cutting my dog's nails for about a year now, and have observed how a dull blade causes him to wince in pain. On first use, this Resco set of blades cut smoothly and cleanly. And for that, Resco, you get a fourth star for throwing in the miniature brass nail, but I've got my eye on you. Let's see where the pieces fall.

LPT - watch the instruction video for how to replace
I guess it needs better instructions for dummies like me. If I hadn't broken my clippers in the process, it'd have been a good value... It says to just push on the "blade ejector tab" to release the blade but what is that? I figured it meant the metal piece attached to the spring, but I couldnt see how the blade could come out. So I removed the two screws to remove the loop/guide piece first. Once that was out, i could push on that metal piece which slid the blade up; out with the old, in with the new, easy peasy. But then when I tried to replace the screws, things went horribly wrong and I somehow managed to shear off BOTH screws. I'm not that strong so I have no idea how that happened. Now the clippers are useless. Can't get the broken screws out, can't depress the handle to move the blade. Guess I'm buying a whole new set.**update - well I'm officially an idiot. Realized I forgot to put the metal piece back on under the screws, which probably meant the screws got wedged too far into the loop and tada, sheared. But then it gets better, because I realized there is an instruction video in the listing that shows how to do it without touching the screws. Leaving my shame above.

Resco Dog Nail Clipper Replacement Blades 6 pack
I've been using the Resco Jumbo set of guillotine nail clippers for a long time now. The blades are usually sold one set at a time for a very high price. This 6 pack is the cheapest you'll find the replacement blades on the internet.A Fortunate Dog is one of the best stores for finding decent pricing on quality tools and toys anywhere, so you can't go wrong with these blades. All the blades fit each of Resco's dog nail clipper sizes, so you can't go wrong there either.Great Product, Great Price, and Great Customer Service from A Fortunate Dog on Amazon.Linda

It Nailed The Dog's Problem!
Our original dog toe nail clipper was purchased so many years ago that the price of the whole item was less than the cost of the replacement blade. Such is inflation! It's easy to fit the new blade and, once fitted, our old dog's nails are worthy of a catwalk model - or should that be "dogwalk"? Swift delivery and very pleased with the item.
