Size:Dishwasher The HammerSTOP supply line hose eliminates water hammer (banging pipes) with an in-line patented piston action that absorbs unexpected surges in water pressure. The HammerSTOP features a water hammer arrester built into a 5 ft. supply line for a dishwasher. Unlike any other water connector hose, HammerSTOP features a proprietary UltraCore liner, resistant to chemicals and leaves no odor in the water; it’s also lead and BPA free!

Easy to install, works to silence LG washer banging
Like a lot of the reviewers here, I have an LG front-loading washer whose quick-shutting valves create loud banging in the water pipes. I had tried adding water-hammer arrestors in several places, including one designed for washing machines that connects right to the inlet valves - at first they seemed to help but after a while the banging returned (usually somewhere else in the house!)This Danco product uses a somewhat different technique. Instead of an air chamber to absorb the pressure, it seems to use some sort of spring-loaded mechanism. What I can tell you is that on initial installation, it worked great - I could see the hose jump when the valves shut off, but the only noise I heard was a faint click from the in-line arrestor. Time will tell if the performance remains, but I am guardedly hopeful. If anything changes, I'll be back to edit this review.Edit: November 26, 2017Yes, I'm back. The Danco hoses do moderate the banging in my house, but the more loads of laundry we do, the more the banging comes back. But now the location of the bangs has changed to be closer to the water heater and cold water source. I did find that the hoses would jump when the valve shuts off, and if they hit the wall behind the washer THAT would make a bang, so I enclosed each hose in a length of foam pipe insulation and it helped with that, but I can see the pipes jump in the basement each time the valves close. These hoses do help, but at least for me they aren't a complete cure.

JUNK
I bought these for a new LG washer so I could avoid the traditional arrestors that take up space and be able to push my washer farther back to the wall. These are junk. I'm on my 4th load of wash and the banging started getting louder. On the 1st load the banging wasn't bad, but it was still there. My water pressure is only at 30 psi so it's not high but I find LG HE washers just bang.Opening the package on the hoses I got arrestors that are two different sizes, but neither are labeled hot or cold and they both have identical green labels on them so I just put them on figuring there is no specified hot or cold. I look back at reviews and see on others who posted photos that the smaller has a red label and the larger has a blue label. ?? So, was I supposed to put them on a certain tap. I have no idea because there are no directions besides don't overtighten. Nice (sarcasm).

Hose Leaking
I have had the DANCO HammerSTOP Technology Washing Machine Connector Hose for about two months and I noticed that one of the hoses has developed a small leak just under the connection to the faucet (see photo for location of leak). It seems to leak during the times I am actually using the washing machine. Now the return deadline is up and it is very difficult to find any information about the manufacturers warranty.

Problem SOLVED!
Missing Link! I have an LG Front loading washing machine that is (I later learned) notorious for BANGING. The solenoids that control the water feed open/close so quickly that the pressure in the feed lines cause a violent BANGING sound. Depending on pressure and size of house, this can be throughout the house! UGH! Before installation I had to move the supply bibs and used valves that had built in water hammers... Still BANG BANG BANG. So, in desperation, I found, bought and installed these hoses. The only noise I hear now is the steel braided hose gently knocking against the wall as it pulsates with the valve, AWESOME. And I'm sure the sock fairy will throw on one the missing socks back there to dampen before I get around to a permanent readjustment.

Unbelievably Good (so far).
I had Sioux Chief Hammer Arrestors but they weren't doing a great job and they finally locked up. It remains to be seen how long these will last but WOW did they make a difference. Our LG washer created such a water hammer you would think the pipes were going to break apart every time you did a load of wash. I was seriously concerned about the damage the hammer could be causing to the pipes, joints, etc. I installed these in 5 minutes and the hammer has been tamed, it's quiet as a mouse!I will try to revisit this review once I've had them for a while. If I have not updated assume they are still getting thr job done.
