What is the disc for?

Thanks for your asking,Llet me answer for you: 1,Transparent disc provides much better flexibility and accuracy,you can see through on the screen of where exactly you are pointing at. 2,The disc end to be a lot more sensitive than the squishy fiber tip. 3,More pressure is needed for fiber tip to work,but the fiber tip can be used to write at an angle.

Does this work with a galaxy s-9 phone? in particular has anyone tried the stylus with the android 9 update? none of my stylus work as well with pie

Ignorant NAMA...I mean, Ignore NAMA. I bought this to use on my ancient Nook HD+ tablet, and my brand new Galaxy S9+. I'm sorry that you were given a false answer, and that my answer comes (probably) too late to matter to you. The answer is yes, absolutely. It works, very, very well. A few minutes ago, I used it to do a drawing on my phone...even the rubber tip glides across the glass buttery smooth. Anyone else wondering if this will work on their device, unless it requires a very special stylus, yes, this will work. There just aren't that many different types of screen, and most of them are of the capacitive type...which is what this stylus is for.

Does this work for nook devices?

its absolutely fantastic. sure, it cost a couple bucks more than some others but just as soon as you hold it for the first time you will know exactly where those extra funds went to. The last stylus you will ever need. hope this helps.
