Adapter Charger

Dangerous! Beware!
I purchased this adapter in April to use with an Asus Onhub/Google WiFi router. In late May, after several weeks of use I suddenly smelled burning coming from the back of the onhub. On closer inspection, the plastic had melted on the adapter, and there was sparks flying off of it. I have alerted the manufacturer and while they have offered to refund me, they will not replace the ruined router unless I provide a 3rd party validation that their adapter was at fault. Short term use
I didn't even have this for a month and the part that plugs into the computer came apart. The silver thing that plugs in the computer got stuck in the computer and now it won't charge at all.
