Virtuoso Spring/Summer 2016 Playing Cards

These are truly top end cards that won't cost you an arm and a leg to get. Everything about them from the tuck box to the cards themselves feel like they spared no expense when making them. Both the design on the backs as well as the front of the cards form beautiful patterns no matter how they are held/flourished/fanned etc. the designs on the fronts of the 1-10 cards were also made with a signature slant as shown below. The premium quality does not end with aesthetics however the cards have real "life" to them they move so smoothly it is like they have a mind of they're own. I am just getting into the hobby of cardistry and I got a pack of these and a pack of brand new bicycle standards and these are hands down the better pack they made flourishes easier as well as more pleasing to the eye. So if what is stopping you from getting these is you are still a novice and these are a high quality deck then you should get them these cards will definitely help you improve your cardistry. I liked them so much I got two additional packs of them.

Excellent cards. I've been collecting cards and the virtouso one of the best in my collection. I love the border less design and they also handle well. Perfect for cardistry. Although, the cards are too good for card games and I wouldn't use them for magic either. Their optimal use would be for cardistry because they are perfect for display.

These are very good cards for spread and spring cardistry. They're very slick, and I think just a fraction thinner than standard stock. Compared to Bicycles, they seem to be a little less than card width thinner (so, less than 1/52nd of card, since I removed jokers, ad cards, and double backers). In terms of slickness, these feel roughly comparable to Theory 11 decks. This makes them a little difficult to use for packet control until they're broken a in a little, since they tend to want to slide out of grip, but they're still manageable. I found I could do quick sybil cuts with them after just a few seconds of getting the feel of them, without any break in shuffles. The art of one these is either something you'll love or hate. Personally, I think the backs are fantastic, the geometric and color choices make for some fantastic looking spreads. Or, if you send one spinning through the air with a counter clockwise spin; it looks amazing, like it's propelling itself. I'm a little less enamored with the faces, in particular the yellow faces. The yellow is very light against the white stock, and that can make them a little difficult to use as show card in magic. The pips are oriented differently than standard, which means if you are showing someone, say, a seven of hearts, what the will expect to see is a card with 7 red pips oriented in two columns with one extra heart between the top two pips. It is immediately recognizable to anyone who has played many cards. With the Virts deck, the 7 of hearts is a very faint yellow against a white stock. The pips are smaller, and they are organized in a kind of sideways leaning Z. It is an unfamiliar and difficult card to flash during a magic trick. Considering they left the black cards black, I wish they had figure out a way to make the "red" cards a little easier to read. The faces do have nice hashmarks on the side that give you sense of visual continuity during flourishes. I like the aesthetic of the tuck case, but it does feel a little cheap when you compare it to a deck of Theory 11 cards. That being said, I think the minimalist design of the tuck case aligns nicely with the idea behind the Virts: they are cards to be enjoyed with a sense of motion.

What can I say??? Perfect! This is a perfect deck of cards. Beyond classy enough for cardistry, simple enough to read for weekly card games.(Impress your friends with your deck!) Note: No Jokers *Ad cards cannot be used as jokers as they have different backs* As a note the patterns of the pips are not traditional. Personally I have never used pips to identify card value during a card game. I traditionally look at the corner of all my cards.

This was my first cardistry deck, although the yellow and white allow for more dirt to show if I would have tsken better care of them there wouldnt have been dirt on them in the first place, regardless one of my favorite cardistry decks this is one of five and it's my second best! I use these daily and even though they appear dirty they still fan beautifully, cascade amazing, dribble like they're brand new, and spring better than other decks in the same condition!

I would say this is worth the money. The design is amazing, the feeling is amazing, they are thick but not to thick they feel like they have been broken in. They are made for cardistry but they are good for magic too

the cards are cool and look great when using them but the box came damaged and bent the tops of some cards.
