yoyo here, yoyo there, yoyo everywhere...well not exactly...
Great yoyo! Just fair warning, this is what is called a "Non responsive yoyo". Being a part of the rage back in the late 90's/early 2000's where yoyos were on every kid's hands. These new unresponsive yoyos are of a new generation. What I mean is that, unlike the older yoyos where give the string a quick tug, and the yoyo returns. An unresponsive requires you to do a trick/method called a "Bind", honestly it's not really that hard to learn it. OK onto the review!First of all, I would like to add is that the color scheme...just wow. This picture doesn't do it justice. The purple has a slight blueish hue to it so that the pink splatter really stands out...almost glowing in a way. Next is the price, if I remember correctly, I bought this for $15-$16 for an aluminum yoyo, that's not bad at all. Aluminum yoyos used to cost over $50 from late 90's/early 2000's (other than the "small minds - zombie" yoyo, that one was $15). The size of the yoyo is slightly on the smaller size, it's not pint sized where it feels all weird and uncomfortable as if you're about to hurl it through a wall. Due to it being slightly heavier (compared to other magic yoyo models) it gives that reassuring feeling of control when you throw it. Sleep time, can't say much, sleeps really long...concave ball bearing with exposed sides, really wide gapped along with silicon respond pad thingies; sleeps more than enough for any complicated combo or trick. Since it's unresponsive, I've been having a ball doing slack string, suicides, and as far as any old and new trick in the book. Now those weird plastic thingies on the side, they're called hubstacks...or whatever it is (look I'm old school ok, gotta inform those of my gen), they're a little strange. When you initially throw them they make this "whiiiir" sound, although only lasts for a second, it tends to somewhat make an imbalance when the yoyo is thrown. Not a big issue really, of course the hubstacks can be removed with a playing card, cardboard, rope or anything you may think that doesn't do damage to it; and without the hubstacks, it plays just as smooth. The drawback of this would probably be the metal used...from experience with this brand, when you hit it against anything somewhat hard, it will cause damage onto the yoyo. Only idea this happens is possibly the quality/density of the metal used. No big deal...just don't hit anything or anyone with it.All in all, I want to buy more of this not just because of it's playability, but I just love the way it looks! It's not currently my favorite yoyo, but I will tell you that it's up there sitting with other yoyos that costs 3-5 times more.

A good 20 dollar yoyo
I, in my infinite wisdom, decided to become a yoyo master at four oclock one fateful morning. In my sleepy stupor I stumbled upon this yoyo, and ordered it. It came right on time, and, with the help of youtube, began my epic journey. After having been playing with it for two to three hours every day for three weeks, I have decided that it is definitely a good product. You can do all sorts of tricks with it, it sleeps wonderfully. Its all metal, which I love about it.For those future yoyo stars who think they need a 40 dollar yoyo to play with, its a mistake. You can play with this or even a cheaper yoyo and get started just as well. Even 2 weeks ago I went to a toy store and asked to try out a few yoyos just to see what was out there, and I couldn't tell the difference between an 80 dollar german yoyo and a 120 dollar super fancy yoyo. Its not worth investing the big bucks in yoyos until you know for sure you're serious. Pick something in this price range that suits your tastes appearance-wise and begin to learn.Only a poor craftsman blames his tools.

Excellence
I bought an $80 yo-yo after a lot of deliberation, and this one on a whim. This is the Yo-Yo I play with. The bearing seems to spin longer and more quietly, the colors are great, and the spin guard creates cool ways to wind it.Most importantly, I have more fun. I'm not afraid to try something that might scratch this Yo-yo. If it breaks I can buy a new one without thinking about how long it took to earn the money to afford it. I can let strangers or friends try a throw without sweating about my priceless toy. You can't understand how big a deal this is until you get a paint chip on an $80 yo-yo.One thing to keep in mind, the response pads are a little slicker or more recessed than they are on my more expensive yo-yos. This means you have to work a little harder for your binds, or you should use a thicker string.

NON-Responsive YO YO
Ok, The YO YO is very nice I would give it a 5 star but the description should have been more clear about the type of YO YO or given an explanation of "Floating Cloud". Also no instructions at all. Should be something for the beginner. We had to watch youtube videos to find out how this worked and how to attach the string. The yo yo is nice and sturdy made aluminum but does not come back up after you throw it out. It sleeps very well but will not come back up unless you use some sort of special binding technique. (not for the beginner) I am ok with that but it should have been mentioned in description. My 10yr old daughter bought it and was very excited only to be let down on because it would not return up. We will keep the yo yo for when she advances but we will have to buy another one that will retrieve.

The yoyo without the stacks feels great, though
This is my 2nd hubstack yoyo, the first was a magic yoyo K1 and the hubstack plastic broke first throw (Amazon gave me my money back). Then I got this one, but the hubstack bearings aren't nearly as fast as I thought they'd be. I was hoping they'd be as smooth and fast as the main bearing. The yoyo without the stacks feels great, though. It's about the right size, the right weight, and the color's beautiful.

So much better than expected
Based on the price and the fact that this appears to be a China direct item, I was expecting a lower quality product. I own yoyos from Duncan, Yomega, C3Yoyodesign, CLYW, One Drop, Toxic, 3YO3, and more, and this MagicYoyo is as far as I can tell on par with all of those build and construction wise, and the added hubstacks, while a bit noisy, are really fun to play with. If they bother you, they can be removed with some patience and a butterknife. The stock string isn't terribly great, but the bearing is. Great spins, and the bearing came deshielded which made cleaning it easier out of the box. All in all, a great value for an unresponsive, aluminum yoyo. Would recommend to anyone who knows how to bind.

Excelente.
Me gustó mucho.
