Like previous Mixmasters, it's great
Our family have been using Mixmasters since my mother got one as a wedding present in 1939. That one lasted into the eighties. We in turn bought one in the early seventies and only just donated it to the local charity shop upon the arrival of this one, its successor. Nothing wrong with it, we just wanted a change. The new one is a worthy successor to its predecessors. We like the glass bowls, which make it easy to monitor progress, and the fact that the mixer is made to use two different sizes means that you can choose the one that suits what you are mixing. Last week for example the large bowl was used to mix an angel food cake, and the small one to mix the icing. We also find that two beaters are more efficient than the one used by other makes. All in all, a great machine.

worst product and service ever
could not get in touch with Sunbeam their automated answering service would not put me through to an actual customer service person. Finally, through amazon's help, I got Sunbeam to call me, the person told me that they will send an email explaining the information they need for me to get the product fixed. I sent them all the information including pictures no one gotten back to me ever since. It has been more than 2 weeks. If you do not want to go through the same problems do not buy sunbeam

Great value for the price.
I like the wide bowls so I can scrap the sides with a spatula while the machine is functioning. Also, when I add dry ingredients, it doesn't throw them back at me so that I look like an abominable snowperson. The machine is easy to disassemble so that I can store it in a smaller space. I have tried more expensive brands that do not offer these features. Great deal for the price.

The Sunbeam mixer is a hunk of junk!!!
My big mistake was not trying this out as soon as I got it, because now it's too late to return it to Amazon. I've had a beautiful Sunbeam before, that worked beautifully, but this was nothing like it. The speed control was hit and miss, not an even faster or slower as I turned it. The turntable the bowl sits on made a racket as it turned. I tried to make a simple batch of Boiled Raisin cookies, and it was nothing but frustration, starting with creaming the room temperature butter and sugar. It just pushed the butter to the side of the bowl, so I had to use a spatula to force it into the beaters, which just pushed it to the side of the bowl. Tried switching the beaters, in case I had them mixed up, to no avail. I ended up mixing the cookies by hand, boxed up the mixer, and it's going to the Goodwill. Never again will I buy an appliance from Amazon because of their return policy, and I want to forewarn anyone everyone else.

Very Pleased
I bought this Sunbeam Mixmaster to replace my Kitchen Aid which I never really liked. I have used it twice without the issues of the Kitchen Aid. My only concern is the dough hooks, for making bagels, did not quite measure up to what I was used to. The bottom plate is now plastic instead of metal . I will do another review when I have used a few more times but all it works like my old one that I had for more than 25 years
