STERLING 72186104-0 Freestanding Shower Seat, White

I have had a regular shower chair for over a year, I hated it. It made me feel handicapped. This chair is stylish and it feels more sturdy. It doesn't look like a medical device. It takes up less space in my shower. It is molded so the legs don't splay outward. I don't feel like it is going break under my weight. It is easy to take out of the shower when someone else is showering. Its easy to clean. I would highly recommend.

Used this in my shower. It is very good looking and the water runs right off of it. I've only had it a month but it is very sturdy and it doesn't seem that mold would grow on it very readily. I haven't had any problem with the top part coming off like others had reported.

I was putting in a walk-in shower when I receive this, and I didn’t open it up for a few weeks until everything was done.When I put it in there I didn’t notice that the top had separated from the bottom and one corner was cracked. It wasn’t till a couple of weeks later when I moved it to clean the Shower, that I could hear water slashing in it and as I inspected it there was a crack in the water was getting in. I contacted Kohler and I had a new one within a week. Their service was absolutely excellent, I would recommend this for anyone. It’s very unique, it’s easy to clean, it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Not only that, I had originally seen this in the store where I purchased the parts for my shower and it was over $30 more there than it was on Amazon. So I feel that I got a goodbye and I got good service can’t ask for any more than that

Have been eyeing this Kohler product for some time as nothing looks worse than the typical old person shower seat and is a pain to clean, etc. So bought this one, used for about a month and did not realize it was filling up with water...it must have been dropped or crushed at some point enough to break the seal between seat and side wall. Other reviews mentioned the issue to. So I drained it, and returned it to exchange it with no problem. So check out the seal first thing, keep the box and plastic just in case. So far so good, not only love the look but the quality.

Well constructed, sturdy and comfortable, and easy portability in to or out of the shower.

I'd look for a better quality seat. We bought this towards the end of my pregnancy and my baby is 3 months now. It fills up with water because the silicone that keeps the seat in had peeled off and it collects a bunch of water. $100 waste.

This is so much better than the usual round plastic shower seats I’ve used before. I feel comfortable and secure using this bench. I have balance issues, so I need to sit during showers and this is the best seating I’ve used. More expensive than the usual chairs, but well worth it.

As has been reported by many other purchasers, this stool is great if you can get one that is properly glued together. I had to order four of them to finally get one that didn’t have its top separating from the base, and if the two pieces are separated even a little, water will get inside the stool and it will be hard to get out.This is a factory assembly issue where not enough glue, or the wrong glue, doesn’t prevent the top from separating.The good news is that Kohler/Sterling has a 10 year warranty on the stool so if anything goes wrong, they will replace it.It really is an attractive and sturdy stool and looks great in our newly renovated bathroom once I got one that wasn’t defective.
