Joseph Joseph Shred-Line Garlic & Ginger Grater, Stainless Steel

So I’m not one for excessive kitchen gadgets as I like multi purpose items. But let me tell you, this thing is awesome! It basically pulverizes the garlic and makes just a few cloves taste like you’ve used several since it used practically all of the clove’s oils and juices. It’s not sharp even tho the pic makes it look that way. I can rub my fingertips along it and it doesn’t hurt. Ginger works pretty well too but I don’t cook with fresh ginger that often so this is mainly just my garlic tool. It takes up next to no space in my gadget drawer & it’s super easy to clean. Get it, trust me you’ll never buy jarred garlic again!

Exactly what I was looking for.Average graters would make a mess and bounce food particles everywhere. This is a much effective approach, at least when it comes to ginger. I drink it every day so I needed something functional and more importantly easy to clean.My only complain, and why I took off a star, is that the length on the left of the bumps, meant to hold with your thumb, is very small so when you're going back and forth it kind of stops your momentum when it runs into your finger. I know it sound minimal but it gets somewhat annoying.Sometimes I even hold it the other way since it makes more sense to leave more space to hold it with.All in all it's good. Could be longer though

This was perfect for my needs. It resolved all the problems I had with my old grater. Now it is a breeze to clean just put running water over it (old one I was never able to remove all the ginger bits), I can just use one tool and put it directly in the pan without losing 1/3 of my ginger in the process of transferring to container. I like it so much I recommended it to a friend and she loved it so much to that she bought another one for her mom. You can't go wrong getting this (did I say compact)

This thing is pretty great. So far I've used it mostly on garlic, which can be a little hard to hold but yields a finer paste than my garlic press. I'm excited to use it on ginger which I think will be easier to handle and should work really well.

I bought this so I had something easier to clean and use than my microplane for garlic and ginger. It's grates fine but as other reviewers noted, the handle seems too short. I have average adult male hands and it just felt "crowded" to use. I would've enjoyed a portion of it be wider so I don't have to continuously unload. I realize now that a microplane is superior for it's surface area and ability to span a bowl to collect the output...but it is hard to clean and hard to unload.I do like how easy it is to clean.

This garlic or ginger shredder is nice and sturdy. It shreds very fine almost like a paste it makes for wonderful garlic bread and ginger root tea. I personally think the little shredding teeth could be a little larger, but it works well and is sturdy. I will be able to use it for years to vome

We have been cooking more as a family and I am not a great cook. My kids have been willing to try new recipes again and again. This tool is so much better than any other grating tool I had. We have only used it for ginger and garlic but I will never go back

This is the best garlic and ginger grater I have ever used. It exceeded my every expectation. If you frequently use garlic and ginger when cooking this is an indispensable tool to have in your kitchen. Forget garlic presses and plane graters get this instead.

I like this for citrus fruit and garlic, carful with your finger …… I don’t like using this with fresh ginger the fibres get caught

I expected this tool to make my life easier, not to spend 15min trying to grate a teaspoon of ginger when cutting it was faster.Maybe it was the technique I used, maybe it was a defective batch... we'll never know.

It works well and if you wash it straight away it's easy to clean, now we get to the bad bit, the grating area is rather small so it takes awhile. Overall I'm kind of happy with it.

Acheté pour la muscade mais râpé très mal du coup dors dans le tiroir. Je n’ai pas essayé pour autre chose mais la râpe n’est pas aiguisée donc je pense que ce sera pareil qu’avec la muscade.

Purchased this for ginger as I don't grate my garlic that fine.A quick rinse in hot water and you're done.
