Great product, but the 'mote does not work with Wave CD-3000
We have a 10 year old Bose Wave, model CD-3000. It is the tall unit, single CD player, no clock radio function. It is the best sounding bookshelf stereo in the world and we love it. It works fine, so why replace it?We use our Apple iPod touch 32 GB (4th Generation) NEWEST MODELs with it by just connecting a cable from the iPod to the Wave aux inputs. It sounds great, but is somewhat of a pain to use because the Bose remote only controls the Wave and we have to walk over to the system to pause the iPod or to move to the next song or next playlist. This is particularly a drag at parties on the deck (the Wave sounds great outside, too).We have a Bose® SoundDock® 10 digital music system in the living room and a Klipsch iGroove SXT Speaker System for iPhone and iPod (Black) in the bedroom upstairs. Our goal is to get an iPod docking sound system in each room, so we can just carry our iPods around the house. So I ordered a Wave Connect Kit for the iPod. Pricey, but the perfect fit: one 'mote to rule them all, and charging for the iPod.Imagine my dismay when I discovered that the remote that came with the kit will control the iPod just fine, but doesn't work at all with our Wave! It turns out, somewhere along the line, some genius in Bose product engineering (probably a new hire straight out of MIT) changed the codes that the remote uses. ("Heck, remotes are kept with just one system. The old codes are sooo messy. I'll just revise them all and add in the new functions and Everything Will Be Better. Who cares about backward compatibility...")If I was willing to use two remotes, everything would be fine. Sorry, there are already too many 'motes in this house, and that is even with Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote with Color Touchscreens spread about. I even get dizzy over the complexity, not to mention the rest of my family.Bose was happy to take the kit back and refund my money, but I am still bummed.

good, but I'd consider the bluetooth adapter instead
This only works for an iphone or ipod. So keep that in mind in the event you may change phones in the future. Also, for music, I prefer the convenience of the Bluetooth adapter. Like any Bose product, it works well and does exactly what it's designed for. So, if you have an iPhone, this is a good way to charge it while accessing music on the phone. Another thing to keep in mind is that, unlike the Bose Wave bluetooth, this will also work with other music systems besides Bose.

Perfect accessory for an older Bose Wave with iPod support
While I could play the iPod Classic on my new refurbished Bose Wave radio/CD player, this adapter adds the convenience of a remote that actually controls the playlists and volume without having to hover right over the system. Makes it easy to set alarm to awake from the iPod whereas before it would not program for using the iPod for alarm at all. Was in mint condition, the remote never opened (had to get new batteries because the original had lost its juice). Pleased all around.

ipod docking not just for Bose wave radio
Brought this for docking station to complement my WaveRadio III.Simple to connect - Two audio RCA jacks plug into any auxillary audio connection (does not have to be a Bose wave radio)and a power outlet, thats it. Plug and play!Charges the iPod/iPhone device when not is use.If you use the docking station on another audio receiver, you will need to use the wave radio remote to control the docking station.

I doesn't work
When I was looking for this product, I typed "iphone dock for BOSE WAVE. The Wave Connect Kit came up, so I bought it. It didn't work with the iPhone. The screen said it was incompatable. When I looked at the users manual, it said it is only compatable with the iPod Touch 1st,2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations. So, I purchased an iPod Touch 4th generation and it still doesn't work properly. The screen says it's incompatable. It will play but you can't change tracks like the manual says you can.I contacted BOSE and they told me to ignore the incompatable on the screen. They said the iPod was compatable which doesn't help me because Istill can't change tracks with the remote. Basically I got screwed by Amazon because it came up when I typed iPhone dock and I got screwed by Bose because it doesn't work.I don't know where to go from here. It's like having a problem and writing your Congressman for help. Nothing ever come in the mail except a computer generated response saying that your Congressman feels your pain but in reality you know he really doesn't give a damn. Both my wife an I have accounts with Amazon and we purchase a lot of products. It's not advertised correctly on your website because it is not compatable with the iPhone and BOSE says to ignore that it is incompatable with the iPod Touch because it is. This is the first time I've had a problem with something I purchased from Amazon. All together about a $350.00 problem.

Works with my Bluetooth connector to play iPod
Purchased this when mg original iPod adapter finally went. I use with a Bluetooth device which I connect directly to this dock and I plays the music from an old iPhone via Bluetooth to my Bose wave system. Works like a charm. I could just connect the phone to the dock physically but then I’d need to remove the protective case and honestly, who would want to do that? This is so much easier. I do however wonder about those whose reviews mentioned their order of this dock included a remote control. I didn’t get a remote so I was a little disappointed.

Bose Dock for Ipod
The Bose dock for my iPod came today. After reading other reviews, I was concerned it might not work from my remote. It works just fine with the backlit remote on "Aux" and also with the credit card remote by pushing on the iPod emblem. It takes up very little space on my nightstand. I've used other docks, and for all of them I had to select what I wanted to hear from the Ipod itself, then set it on the deck and use the remove to scroll through the chapters, turn the system on or off, and to adjust volume. This works the same way, and I'm well pleased with the excellent sound.

Decent for connecting ipod to radio
Descent ipod connector. Package says it was meant to come with a remote control. But there was nothing in the box
