My wife and I full-time in our RV. When autumn arrives, it gets into the 30s and 40s at night. This is great sleeping weather, but it's so cold to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Being that the bathroom does have a furnace vent, and is kind of sectioned off, it stays super cold in there. After putting this insulation pillow in the sky-vent it was a noticeable difference. So much so that the bathroom now feels like the same temperature as the rest of the RV. It's night and day. Am going to pick up a second one for our other vent, but debating because we keep that one cracked and it good to have a way for moisture to escape. Either way, super happy.

This is a definite game changer for our camper. Blocks out all of the sun light that would blind us in the morning or for that afternoon nap.

I purchased two of these Vent - Skylight Insulator and I am happy to have found them here on Amazon. However, out of the two, one of them loses air slowly and falls from the skylight. I am able to add air and put it back up but a little disappointed.

Very simple design via inflatable and you can inflate or deflate to fit the size of your window. Used this in our RV mater bedroom to block out heat and light. Deflate when done and pack away or just keep in. I simply pulled it out when I wanted to use the window fan and pushed back in for the night. It also has a very snug fit so it kept our bedroom cool during the day.

I don't usually write bad reviews but this product STINKS!!!! First off, it is an inflatable balloon and not foam inside. Second. It says its 14 x 14 so that it will fit inside the RV ceiling vent. Well let me tell you, my vent measured 14 x 14 and this item measures 15 x 15 and WILL not fit or stay inside the vent. I tried replacing the inflatable balloon with foam but to no avail. It will not stay inside the vent. Very bad product.

It was probably obvious in the ad, but I didn’t notice these were the blow-up (as in balloons, kind). It all started when I received an email from another vendor advertising a spectacular clearance sale with special discounts (if I mentioned the “soul-less Walmart” of the RV industry many RVERS would know who). My experience with this vendor has always been that their super-dooper sales prices general approach but almost never beat the everyday price of the identical item on Amazon. And by the time you pay for shipping, they’re more than Amazon with free shipping. But, I checked anyway. Well, sooprize, sooprize, sooprize! Even with shipping the other vendor was a few cents cheaper than Amazon! BUT, the Amazon product had the foil backing, which I thought was a plus, and the other guy’s did not. So, I ordered from Amazon. Quality is okay, but not exceptional. A few drawbacks with the blow up version: 1) They can be a little difficult to inflate. First, the inflation valve can be annoying to get open, or shut, or depressed down into the “pillow” when finished (think ornery air mattress only smaller); 2) You have to inflate them to the max in order to keep them in the fan opening, otherwise they fall out; 3) Fully inflated makes the cover difficult to zip closed. You need to keep one finger between the zipper and the balloon as you zip it, or sooner or later you’ll probably nick the balloon and puncture it; 4) If you start fully inflated at a high altitude and then go down hill, the difference in air pressure will depress the balloon and it will fall out, as mine did multiple times as we migrated from Colorado to Texas; or 5) Conversely, if you inflated it to the max in the low country and then drove to the high country, you might very well have a “blow up” balloon -ka-boom! I’m planning to buy some soft foam at a hobby store and cut it to fit the pillows. Then I will replace the balloons and have invested a good bit more in these vent fan pillows than I would have by simply abandoning principle and buying from the soul-less Walmart of camping. Live and learn.

This little guy has worked well for us the last few weeks. Definitely provides some insulation value from the sun from an exposed roof vent (read: vent doesn’t have a “maxaire “ like cover. Purchased it more for its blackout ability with works great. Just blow it up like a pool toy and it fits right in place. You may have to add more air depending on the temperatures (just like tires, there’s less pressure if it’s colder). Good product. A pillow might work just as well, though.

This is an INFLATABLE pillow; just so you know. And it deflates regularly. It also ripped at the silver seam where it meets the fuzzy part. Falls out of the fan each time we use it. Of course, since it is inflatable, as we get to higher elevation it expands to the point it is rock hard and then falls. Then as we come back down to lower elevation, it loses air and is useless. Do not recommend.

These are both insulated and have the reflective material. My favorite thing is that they're inflatable so you can use air or open then up and stuff them with extra insulation if you need. Many options and very practical.

Inflatable. Didn't see that when ordered. Fits okay. Seems to work. Was cheap. Will store easilly. Not sure how long it will last though.

Had a hard time figuring out how much to inflate them so they would stay in place. Kitchen one no issues but bathroom room is not as deep so the pillow won't stay without some extra holding system. I used tape.

This is perfect to block out the light over our bed in the trailer. We love it and have had it for 5 years and it's still works great.
