Thank Goodness I found it on Amazon
I love this rice and as a Texas (with Louisiana )rice is a staple of life....and the operative word is excellent rice..This rice is the best..aromatic, tastes great and cooks perfectly. Then stores quit stocking it...Amazon had it at a great price, free shipping and it came immediately and in perfect condition...

Perfect rice
Great for all meals, especially Asian or Indian, perfect. The grains stay separated, never gummy. I used a digital pressure cooker and it takes only 6 mins. I was a bit confused by the description saying it is packed in a plant that processes nuts...bc of allergies, I cannot use anything with that disclaimer, so I called the number on the package in Texas. I was told they used to sell pilafs which meant there may have been nuts then, but no longer. All I knew was that I bought one container of this rice and there were no disclaimers such as that on the container, so I wondered if the nut warning was new. All of the other RICE SELECT rices do not seem to carry that disclaimer, so that had me stopping in my tracks. All in all, it appears as safe to consume as the other varieties they manufacture. I also like the container, rather than a bag, keeps contents securely inside and less chance of undesirable critters finding their way inside too. Grains can be a nuisance that way. On Subscribe & Save, about $5 a container. You can't find it that low-priced in the supermarkets, even on sale. In addition, no worries about having to eat it all up b4 expiration dates expire. These are stamped 2017. You are golden. All in all, a wonderful, light, delicate rice.

Best tasting rice
The Kasmati Rice is the best tasting make at home rice. It also has a wonderful aroma. Unfortunately it is hard to come by in Seattle area store shelves. I can find the Texmati (same company) but not the Kasmati. The Texmati just doesn't compare. Amazon had it in stock and delivered on time, yeah Amazon!

Soooo good
The grains in this rice a smaller than average. I use 2 cups of rice and 1-1/2 to 3/4 water. The rice comes out firm and loose and reminds me of really good chinese stir fried rice. Recommend.

Not bad.
This rice is very good but lumpy. It's great for use with sauces and/or gravies but not for what I needed. But the quality is very good and fresh.

Would be nice to have more explanation of best usage on the ...
Turned out rather clumpy and gluey. We thought it would be similar to their Jasmati but ti's very different. Would be nice to have more explanation of best usage on the packaging.

Kasmati - not organic, but is non-gmo according to the current label.
We like all the RiceSelect products we've tried but this is our favorite. I saw a question about "gmo" labeling. This particular product is not certified organic, so it could possibly be a gmo - except that the new label (I just receive my order of Kasmati from Amazon) DOES have "non-gmo" in the lower left of the front label. The image I am seeing on Amazon's site is an older label. The lid is still purple. I cannot speak to any other variety, just this Kasmati. It is labeled "Non-GMO".

Fast shipping and excellent packaging. The Leatherman tool feels very premium and sturdy.
