Great buy.. spend the extra for great sound!
My second best speaker purchase.. after Harman SB 26 soundbar for the living room, we needed something that can be moved around for other rooms. The need was compact with big sound. Sonos meets both.. sound fills the house and bass shakes the windows. If you are an audiophile with feline hearing and want to hear odd frequencies, this is not the speaker for you. If you want something that produces big sound with deep bass.. go for it! Please note these are not Bluetooth.. but you need to connect through app to enable them, after that you can connect Spotify etc and play from there.

Excellent Speaker
I have a stereo pair of Sonos Fives in my office study, and I absolutely love them! While I also have an Era 300 at home, I prefer these because they are louder and have better bass.

An Absolutely Transformative Listening Experience (Despite a Few App Quirks)
I’ve been using this speaker every single day for the past week — easily 4 to 5 hours a day — and I absolutely love it. Pros: 1. The Trueplay tuning feature is phenomenal. Once done right, the results are mind-blowing — rich, room-filling sound with incredibly deep low-end response. The key is patience: it might take a few tries to perfect the tuning based on your specific room. Placement is equally important — leave around 6–10 inches of space behind the speaker to let it breathe. In my case, the room has soft rugs and floor-to-ceiling curtains (a tough acoustic setup), but after experimenting with placement and running Trueplay around eight times in one spot and a few more in another, I finally nailed it. The soundstage opened up beautifully — every instrument feels like it’s coming from a distinct place in the mix. Even with a single speaker in horizontal orientation, the stereo imaging is breathtaking, thanks to the side-firing tweeters. I listen to a lot of electronic genres — Future Garage, Tech House, Deep House, and Techno — and the low end goes very deep, yet stays cleanly separated from the mids and highs. The overall balance is superb: crisp, detailed highs, solid mids, and sub-bass that genuinely rumbles. 2. True lossless audio playback. To unlock the full potential of this speaker, you really need an iOS device for Trueplay tuning and a lossless streaming service. I switched from YouTube Music to Apple Music specifically for this reason, and the difference is night and day. Once you experience true lossless playback on these speakers, there’s no going back. I’ve tested with complex tracks like “Beat For” by Jamie XX — and the depth, layering, and clarity are stunning. 3. Serious audiophile quality. This isn’t a Bluetooth party speaker — it’s a serious music-listening device. Every track feels intentional; I’ve found myself diving deep into songs I’ve heard a hundred times, discovering new layers and sounds I’d never noticed before. It’s genuinely rekindled my love for music. Cons: The only real drawback is the app. While it has improved over time and I appreciate that it integrates all major streaming services (and supports Apple Music lossless), it’s still not as smooth as native apps like YouTube Music or SoundCloud. Occasionally it can feel a bit buggy or laggy — especially when starting playback or building playlists. Also, playlists created within the Sonos app are locked to that ecosystem — they can’t be synced back to your streaming service. So if you discover new tracks while listening in the app, you’ll have to manually add them to your Apple Music playlists later. Minor inconvenience, but worth mentioning. That said, playback stability is solid. On my 100 Mbps connection, songs load in just a couple of seconds — understandable given the size of lossless files. Final Verdict: The sound quality is simply unmatched at this size and price point. Once tuned properly, it delivers a level of immersion that rivals far more expensive systems. The app experience could be smoother, and the lack of Bluetooth or direct TV connectivity might bother some, but as a dedicated high-fidelity music system — this is a masterpiece. ⭐ Rating: 4/5 — Near perfection for music lovers.

Pathetic service & very delicate.
Pathetic service & very delicate. I am using about 8 of these gor over 3/4 years now since they came out. 2 have been repaired. 1 with service centre for more than 6 months now and 3 defective ones lying in my garage. Good Audio and excellent speakers but they keep shutting down for no reason even with power conditioners and all precaution. The service centre is pathetic and says no spares and make you wait over 4-6 months every time. This time its over 6 months now. Overall the audio has deep bass and balanced output like an audiophile speaker but the true-tune is not what it is expected to do. Also, airplay quality is good but not seamless. Power punched performance and audio seperation in stereo pairing is decent and loudness option carries the sound far. But the poor service and unbothered India wing of otherwise great speakers make it a stupid decision to buy them. Once they conc off you are in thick soup and end up paying half the cost in repairs each time for no reason or fault. Better to go for monitor or studio powered speakers in audioplile series at lower cost with brands like swans, monitor audio, wharfdale, PSB or Denon. Better still buy micro hi-fi with onkyo, marantz standalone or denon tube amp for the same cost. Even though I love the sound signature and audio quality, i cannot recommend and rather advise to jeep away from this piece of cheap speaker. Not worth the price or pain.

Ordered a pair Amazon only delivered one Sonos Five speaker.
Ordered 2 Sonos Five speaker because of Amazon Prime offer. Turned out be a click bait. Amazon only delivered one speaker and cancelled delivery of the second speaker and issued a refund. Now will go buy the second speaker from the store. Hence my review of the Sonos Five will be for mono and not stereo (which was the sole reason to buy this Speaker) The Five’s as a single speaker fills a small room. The bass and mid are rich. You can adjust this in the Sonos app. The sound quality is better than most Bluetooth speaker I have heard. Sonos will replace my 2 Bose Revolve + which I use as stereo. Bose app is frustrating to use. One of the primary reason to switch to Sonos as I have been using the One's for 5 years now.

Awesome sound quality
Good stereo sound setup for a medium sized room. Airplay compatible. Does no support other wifi streaming devices. No Bluetooth connectivity.
