Tricky to ride.
I bought a pink scooter for my granddaughter and a blue one for my grandson for Christmas. They are sturdy and really cute but very difficult to use. Neither one could balance well enough to use them. We put them in storage and will see if they can ride them in a couple years. Takes good balance and coordination to ride them.

Bought for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas it has absolutely been her favorite thing to play with. My 27 year old girlfriend can't get enough of it either. Now I want to buy 2 adult versions lol

Great.
It's kinda hard for a child to "get" at first but once they do they LOVE it.

Not for us
This is an interesting idea that just doesn't work. The packaging is superb, the assembly is a breeze and the overall quality is great. The problem is no one wants to ride it. We've taken this out several times trying to figure out why it gets such great reviews and everyone wants to a turn. But after a quick spin it gets dropped for a traditional scooter or bike. The pumping action is hard to get comfortable with and the higher center of gravity just makes it awkward to ride. The way the back is angled up makes kicking like a normal scooter difficult because the kids legs scrape on the edge. My family found this to be harder to ride, slower and less comfortable to ride than a normal scooter.

Great scooter with one caveat
I used to be a sporting goods purchasing agent for Kmart about 15-16 years ago - when the first mass production of metal scooters were being imported from China. Some of those sample scooters lasted me until today - scooters my kids can still enjoy these days. This is a scooter with a great concept for power - it's all manual yet very simple to operate. The one big issue I have with this item that otherwise claims to hold riders up to 90 kg (200lbs) is the following: the plastic enclosure at the bottom of the scooter, the part that holds a wire and is close to the ground seems extremely fragile. I venture to say if a kid rides on the sidewalk and then decides to go jump on the street, that plastic piece could easily get smashed in the sidewalk corner, and render the entire unit useless.

A different way for kids to scooter about!
This is a pretty interesting contraption. I had never seen a "pedal" scooter of this sort prior to being offered a review copy of this product. I thought it looked pretty cool so I ordered it. I brought it over to my parent's place so the grandkids could try it out. They definitely liked it, and it didn't take long at all for them to figure out how to ride it. Most of the kids who tried it out don't ride a bike, yet, and I feel like this product is a good transition vehicle towards balancing and pedaling on a real bicycle. The trial product I received was a pink variety, yet there are many similar products in all sorts of colors. If you kids don't yet own a scooter, this might be a good product for you to pick up. It's definitely worth a look, in any case.

So much fun!!!
We LOVE this scooter!! The kids were hesitant at first because it is quite a bit higher off the ground than a standard scooter, but once they got over that initial awkwardness, they were sailing. It's very easy to get the hang of. The 5-year-old was the youngest to try it out (age on the website says 4+, box says 5+) and he was loving it. The height of the handlebar adjusts a great deal but my oldest (11) and his cousin (10) were too tall to ride it comfortably at just under 5' tall. It was PERFECT for all the other kiddos, though. I'd say it depends on height, but if your child is over 4' tall, I'd just grab the regular version. We're hoping to try that one out, too, as I've heard great things about it. Build quality is fantastic and it's very easy to fold up which is great for storage. It's much more portable than electric scooters and the kids prefer this over them every time. It allows the kids to go faster than traditional kick scooters with not a whole lot of effort, and they have so much more fun with this. The youngest (3) has even given in a try in the standard scooter mode as he doesn't have the coordination to keep it balanced while pumping and it's great as a normal scooter as well. We love it!!

Brilliant scooter. My 6 year old loves it. It's a complex thing so might take some minor maintenance to keep it lunricated and clean. Comes assembled and packs down easily for transport. It's not light weight, but she finds it easy to ride. Appears to be good quality.
