Plato's Medicinals Scar Serum

I bought this because I had read good reviews on Google, etc. (there were no reviews on Amazon on this product when I had purchased it). I have been using it for a couple of months now, and I am not over the moon about this product. I had a severe allergic reaction to a bug bite, that turned into a sore, and left a weird mark/scar which is why I purchased this. While the mark has faded, I can't say for sure or not if it's from this or just with time alone. I feel like for the price there is other stuff out there that works just as good for a bit less.

What a joke, I found ONE blog online about this stuff. I was so thrilled to find something to work on my keloid scar. after a month I saw no results. I brought it to my dermatologist who said there's no eveidence and nothing proprietary about this cream. She said silicone gel and sheets are only thing shown to improve keloids and hypertrophic scars. I think the person who "pushes" this stuff gets an incentive from the "doc" who created it. Shame of both of them, keloid scars are awful to live with and I thought I found something that worked. Do not buy- dermablend makes a gel. There's no reviews about this stuff, complete garbage and shame on people who want to Make money off of a bogus product

I've had multiple surgeries resulting in a lot of scars, so I have used many products over the years. Hands down, this is the BEST product I have ever used for scars. It only has one ingredient: a liquid silicone. As any dermotolist will tell you, silicone is the only thing proven to work with scars. There are no filler ingredients in this product. Some scars respond right away, but usually scars take time to heal. Most of the poor reviews were from people who expected instant results. That isn't realistic. The proper way to use this product is to put some on your fingertip and apply much pressure while pressing the serum in and massaging along the scar line. Doing this can sometimes be painful, but it breaks the scar tissue underneath and allows the product to heal its visible appearance.

I like the cream better than gel

Used this entire tube and saw basically no visible changes in the coloration or density of my surgical scars. Have used other products that worked better and were far cheaper.

I use this item in conjunction with the dark scar and it has worked really well. I've been using it for months now and it took time and consistent use to notice a difference but it has really become less inflamed. The progress might be slow but injections in my keloid hurt and if I can get some results with this, I prefer it.

Not sure this product works. Someone posted that it takes the itching away. That was definitely a lie. That was one of the main reason I purchased.

I did not see any improvement neither softening also.
