Q: Does anyone have an opinion as to whether this would survive the winter on a rough lake in the northeast?

In the NE you do not want to leave a buoy out in the winter as the ice will pick it (and your mooring) up and carry it away. Ice is powerful, and unless you are on a small pond you will have problems. If you want to mark a mooring, just tie some floating rope (polypropylene, not nylon) to your chain with enough slack to float on the surface. The ice will not catch the end of the rope and it will pull through during ice-out.

Q: Looking to purchase these as a gift. What size would I need for a 34 ft boat?

It would depend on the shape of the hull. My boat is 33 ft, and I use a size A2 near the stern and an A3 toward the bow. This arrangement works very well for the lock walls of the New York State canal system. They, of course, can be raised or lowered to provide proper protection.

Q: Imma doofus and lost the plastic screw for my A-4. Anyone know the size of it or maybe point me in the direction of a replacement?

Amazing if you're using it as a slip bag for boxing.

Filled with water it comes out to around 12-16lbs about the weight of a human head. Fantastic in combination with bungee cords for training.Has enough weight to be able to take a tough jab while still light enough to slip and dodge.10/10 worth every penny.
