Now, I feel obligated to preface this review with the fact that "I AM A REAL PERSON AND USER!!" There are products out there that score very well and you can't help but feel like it is being padded by non-existent people. I am a real person and I use this product daily. I wanted to finished my first bottle before I did a review and I just put in an order for another one.I came across this product after doing some research and being concerned about my weight problem. According to the outdated BMI system, that our government and multiple other organizations use to rate our health based on weight, I was morbidly obese. So after looking up some information, I came across multiple articles that state that the majority of the United States was iodine deficient and that it can lead to low metabolism, hypo-thyroidism and obesity. This in turn then leads to health issues such as diabetes and heart disease. I first started off purchasing dehydrated seaweed/kelp. I couldn't stomach it for more than two weeks so I then set out to find an Iodine Supplement and found reviews and articles leading to this very product. I saw that it was about $35 bucks and I felt that it was worth a shot.BEST $35 BUCKS I HAVE EVER SPENT..... PERIOD.If you have ever seen the move called "Limitless" starring Bradley Cooper then you'll have an idea of how this product works. In the movie, Bradley Cooper's character comes across a drug called "NZT" that unlocks that full potential of his brain and he becomes extremely intelligent. He then uses that intelligence to get ahead in the world but with many plot twists in order to engage the audience.In my world, I didn't run across shady gangsters and people who wanted to kill me. But I did experience a "de-fogging" of the mind. Within 6 hours of taking my first dose I got really tired (Probably from the small amount of alcohol content in it). An hour or so later it felt as if my eyes had been opened all the way. Colors become more vibrant, small details stood out and minute movements of everything became as clear as day. I could think extremely clearly without stumbling thinking of words to complete sentences. I was able to articulate thought into speech as effortlessly as a flick of the wrist. I was amazed.I decided to do more research online into what was happening. Apparently IODINE is a necessary ingredient into most of the body's functions. I like to play competitive fighting games for fun and it has drastically reduced my learning curve allowing me to play better, faster and smarter.The benefits were not limited to mental functions. My energy levels skyrocketed and I never realized how dehydrated I felt all the time. Dry mouth, dry skin and scalp. Now my skin is as smooth as a baby's bottom and my hair is growing stronger. My saliva glands are now producing what I would imagine is the correct amount and I can now feel the digestive process beginning in my mouth more efficiently. Everything tastes so much better! I use to drink so much while eating. Now my body produces enough saliva while eating to only drink half a glass of water or so during lunch.After exactly one week I started noticing funny things about my clothes. They slowly became looser and looser. I started looking better in the mirror. Love handles melted away, double chin tucking itself in and man boobs back down to training bra size. The weight loss is slowly but surely balancing out my body and keeping my weight in check. I must remind you, I have not changed anything about my diet or eating habits other than taking my daily iodine.Final Thoughts: I originally came to this product just looking for a quick weight loss trick. It has done more for me than any vitamin supplement or combination of exercise I have ever come across. I have recommended it to family and friends and hope that their results are comparable to mine and my wife's. The weight loss is slower than I would have liked but I am now convinced that losing anymore than 4-5 pounds a week is probably unhealthy. I will continue to use this product and will keep this review updated. I highly recommend you giving this product a shot.

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been using this product for about a year. I began using just 1 drop per day and have gone up to 4 drops per day. In this time, I was able to lower my thyroid medication (Synthroid) dosage from 125 mcg to 112 mcg. I believe it may be time to lower the dosage an additional step to 100 mcg, but I will need to get my TSH, Free T4, and Free T3 levels checked again by my doctor to be sure. If my TSH is very close to 0 and my Free T3 and Free T4 levels are above the acceptable ranges; then I would be considered hyperthyroid, and my doctor would be able to lower my medication dosage. It takes a while (weeks if not months) for your body to adjust to these changes, so if you have thyroid disease take things very slowly with this product and have your doctor monitor everything.If you take this product, it is recommended that you also take Selenium (L-Selenomethionine) (typically 200mcg per day is recommended, but you may need more or less to achieve adequate selenium levels). *Make sure to regularly (once or twice a year) have your doctor test your selenium level because too much or too little selenium can cause thyroid problems and other health issues. You may also want to take other nutritional supplements, but when taking Nascent Iodine you always should also be taking Selenium. Iodine binds with Tyrosine with the help of the Thyroid Peroxidase enzyme (TPO) in order to create T4, but the by-product is Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), which causes inflammation and damage in the thyroid. Selenium protects the thyroid by converting the Hyrdogen Peroxide to Water. It was too hard on my stomach when trying to take it that way. I take it right after I eat breakfast. I put the drops in about a 1/4 cup of water, drink that, and then drink an entire glass of water.So far, I have ordered this product three times. The first time I ordered this product it arrived in perfect condition and worked great. The second time I ordered this product it was from another seller, and the bottle arrived discolored yellow; was about half-full; and I did not feel as well when I was using the product. Even though I still had a lot left from the second bottle, I decided to order another bottle from the first seller I purchased this product from. This third bottle arrived in perfect condition, and I felt better when I was using the product from this bottle. I ended up dumping out whatever was left in the second bottle. Maybe how I felt between using the various bottles of this product was just coincidence, but at the very least I would recommend getting a refund or returning any damaged or yellowed bottles because that means the iodine has been leaking out and the dropper-top may be damaged.
