biOrb Green Water Clarifier Service Kit

So alarming, it even turns the milk chocolatey..but keep working at the problem it may just work...
I'm annoyed I didn't trust the reviews mentioning water being greener than before use.'Surely down to the way being used' I thought and ploughed ahead with purchase hoping to clear up a green water issue.Suffice to say per the picture I am alarmed to say the least after the first week of use the cloudiness has become much worse than when I started.Hoping this will clear through over the final 7 days but very concerned with the results of this product so far.Would exercise caution, I pray the fish seen here mouthing 'for Pete's sake what have you done' are ok.Update 11th August - may not be as bad as i thought!!!So I've decided to update my review with further opinion in the event it helps anyone with a similar and serious pea soup algae bloom. I'm not an aquatics expert by the way so not meant to be expert advice! So from my first picture you can see that after using this product my biorb water was horrifically green but after a months work the second picture is what i have now (happy fish!)Here's what i did after using the product.. The condition of the tank was horrifically green and by far the worse algae bloom I've experienced.1) Turn off all aquarium lighting for duration of exercise. (My aquarium has natural light in the room it is in)2) Replace product with standard filter after a day of using the second ste of sachets3) Water change 30% every 2-3 days4) With each water change, add a treatment of biorb water optimiser (or similar product)5) After 2 weeks of water changes, replace filter again with another standard. So it seems to me as if the treatment sachets in water clarifier kit DOES infact break down algae, contrary to my original view. I could evidence this by the fact that algae on ornaments disappeared. However i think the issue I noticed (and perhaps similar to other negative reviews) is that the algae is broken down so microscopic that the blue filter cannot remove this - and it remains as a green suspension in the water. Thus looks more green than when you started.By following the steps i took , i was able to gradually remove this fine algae and after the 4th or 5th water change the clarity restored. In summary, I'm of the opinion that algae blooms are a menace that perhaps there is no one stop "fix all" solution. But this product in conjunction with the extra steps should gradually rid a tank of even the most serious cases as mine.In many ways this has been a positive learning experience, and i would encourage anyone with a similar problem to persevere with the water clarifier as well as considering the extra steps I went through.

Killed my fish
Used this to try to correct a bit of an algal bloom in a smallish tank with 5 minnows and 2 danios that have been living happily in the tank for over 2 years (the fish didn't actually seem to mind the algae). 24 hours later the tank is looking a lot cleaner but only the 2 danios are alive + one of the minnows hanging on. Killed my fish. Did I do something wrong????

AVOID- KILLS FISH
After having a green algae problem for a while I thought I’d try this- considering it’s the tanks own branded product I thought it must do something. Wasn’t expecting to wake up the next morning to find my fish had died! There were no instructions whether it’s best to add the fish back into the water but then I guess because it’s a fish product you’d think it would be safe. But no, it raises ammonia levels in the tank and kills the fish?! DO NOT BUY
