Mustad 3191 Classic Carlisle Kirbed Point Hook (100-Pack)

Let me start by saying I rarely leave product reviews! I do a lot of fishing for sunfish. I use red worms or night crawlers most of the time. I have bought and used many different hooks in size 8. I must say these are the best ones I have used from a practical and economic standpoint. They are long shank which makes them much easier to remove. They are also very strong and dont easily bend. I also like that the eye of the hook is larger than most other brands I have used which makes it much easier to tie for those of us older people who have trouble seeing. Bottom line these hooks a great!

I am an avid fisherman and I do a lot of bream fishing. I love these hooks. They are perfect for bream and great for using red worms, night crawlers and crickets. They are strong and sharp and can take a lot of abuse. I have ordered 4 packs of these and about to order 2 more. They are my go to hooks for bream. I have also caught decent catfish, bass, Crappie, drum, and gar on them. If you are a bream fisherman then I highly recommend these hooks.

We use these for small flatfish that tend to swallow the hook. If I don’t use circle hooks I run these and the extra long shank gives me something to get pliers on and carefully remove the swallowed hook.

Use the 2/0 on Newport Oregon south jetty with ghost shrimp for sea trout and lings. Work well.

This is my favorite hook to catch bream. i've also caught bass and catfish off of this Mustad hook. the long shank help get the hook out easy. would definitely recommend.

Prices are high but the hooks are sturdy and have enough turn to get the job done.
