Ideal for 2 people but double seal your bag
This pint size works for the majority of my sealing needs for the 2 of us at home. We also use the quart bags they make for slightly larger meat items. I am new to sealing but so far have done 60 seals with this bag. I have found a few tricks, first always double seal the ends. This is true for this bag or even the original Food Saver bags. On some of the first seals where I did only one seal it failed and I did get freezer burn. This has happened to me on this bag and the original bags from Food Saver (I have v3240 Sealer). This is a quality bag and more affordable than the Food Saver brand.

Very good freezer bags
I bought these vacuum freezer bags for a Foodsaver brand sealer. They are much cheaper than bags at local stores and I love the size. They are perfect for freezing smaller sized amounts of meat or sausages. They only fit about 1 pound or less of meat-whether it's ground beef, steak, or chicken. If you try to put more than that in, then there isn't enough room at the top to seal it. I can see why some reviewers may have had trouble getting them to seal. If you don't have 1 1/2 inches at the top, there's not enough room to place it in the foodsaver and suck out the air/then seal. That's how the larger sized (quart and gallon sized) work also. It's perfect for portion control-for a family of 2 to 4 people. We had no trouble at all sealing the bags with all the air out. Our meat will last months now in the freezer without freezer burn.

So Far So Good
I purchased these pint bags for my green beans; I was glad to find the pint size bags as the FoodSaver quart size are too big for our storage needs. I received them yesterday and put them to work last night and I did not have any issues at all with sealing the bags. I actually have had problems sealing from time to time with the FoodSaver bags on my FoodSaver. The cost was wonderful at approximately .20 a bag making freezing garden veggies affordable. If my bags lose their seals I will update my review but at this time I am very glad that I purchased the non FoodSaver brand bags.

Really excellent; will buy again for sure
I just got my second set; my daughter bought me a set last Christmas and the amount of money I have saved on food is incredible. They are extremely easy to use and now I am able to buy products in larger packages than I used to; I particularly like them for storing bananas in for smoothies; I buy the bananas, cut them up and put each cut up banana in a freezer bag for use later; this way, the bananas do not get brown and ruined. I will be buying more when my present supply runs out. What is especially nice about this size is that I have a freezer on top of my refrigerator which is small and I can get quite a bit in there.

Just the right size
My husband and I enjoy getting family size food prices (chicken, salmon, sausage) and storing in the perfect size bags for 2 people.

Love these bags....
Love having loads of bags already made. These are small bags - perfect for a serving for one person. I thought they might have been too small, but I can put a serving of meat (like one small steak, one pork chop, etc.) in a bag. These are great when you need just one serving like I do. This saves me from having to make a small bag from the roll, which are wider than needed and seemed wasteful to me. I use them with my Food Saver vac/sealer.

Won't work with VacMaster Pro90
These bags are sturdy and well made, but incompatible for use with my VacMaster Pro90. The bags are resistant to the machine's heat, and did not even achieve a partial seal. I've never had this problem with other bags, and it may not be an issue for newer or more heavy duty VacMaster sealers. If you have a VacMaster, consider the FoodSaver FSFSBF0116 or VacMaster brand Pint Size Bags (both of which work with my VacMaster) instead of these Weston bags.

Good for the price
I have had some bags lose their vacumn. I have only used about 30 so far, and I am satified for the cost. I hope that the failure rate is not too high, but it is still a little early to be sure. I figure that I will just keep an eye on them and use the ones that lose their vacumn first. At less than 20 cents a bag I will buy again.
