Great SSD, good price.
These SSDs work well and don't break the bank. I used them on 7 PCs at work that were about 7 years old to keep them running longer instead of buying new ones. They speed up the PC so much, it is almost like getting a new one in most cases. These are not as fast as the Samsung SSDs, but they are also a lot less expensive. If you have not installed these before on a desktop PC, typically the Spinning disks are 3.5 inches and these are 2.5 inches so you may need an adapter if your case does not have 2.5 inch slot. I was able to just drill some holes in the 3.5 inch plastic bracket in the PC so that the 2.5 inch SSD would fit, so I did not have to spend any extra on adapters. If putting them into a laptop, these will most likely fit without needing an adapter, but definitely check with the manufacturer and check the thickness too. I have run into one laptop that needed a spacer to make the SSD thicker or it would not fit and would not make contact, but i think that is pretty rare (but this one does not come with a spacer). This one is 7mm thick so you may not end up with a laptop that requires a thinner drive, but I would verify with the manufacturer just to make sure. These do not come with cloning software, but I recommend doing a clean install of the OS anyway and that is what I did in all but one case and I did clone the disk from one PC that had been recently re-imaged with software that I got included with another brand of SSD and that worked great.I purchased 7 of these and had no DOA drives and no problems so far running them everyday in a business setting.

Excellent! Great product at a great price!
Some time ago I acquired an Acer Aspire One D260. It wasn't running well under WinXP so I installed Lubuntu 16.04 LTS hoping to give it to my daughter to use as a first computer. The machine ran better under Lubuntu but was still sluggish at startup, opening apps and loading web pages. I recently received the SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB as well as a 2GB DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) RAM Memory Upgrade for the Acer Aspire One D260 (N450). I expected more performance improvement from the SSD but figured since the RAM was so cheap - why not.Wow, what a difference! The D260 is snappy now with power on to logon screen at about 20-25 seconds whereas before it was closer to a 1 min, 30 sec. Logon is quick, apps load fast, web pages open faster, the fan doesn't run as high and as often. I highly recommend this SSD. The 120GB size is at a great price point, and this SSD breathed new life into an older machine. The install of the SSD and RAM was easy and there are plenty of videos on YouTube which show the process. So far I'm very happy.

8 year old laptop running like new now!
Put it in my 8-year-old laptop and it runs like a brand new machine - or better!! (replaced a 5400 rpm hard drive). The best PC/laptop upgrade I've ever made. Makes a huge difference. If you have an old laptop and want to revive it, this is definitely the way to go. The laptop runs many times faster (I'd claim 10x but I don't have hard numbers to back it up). Plus it uses less power and generates less heat. Task Manager in Windows used to show the laptop running at 100% disk usage for even simple tasks. Now it's 5-10% disk usage. We'll worth the cost!

For a cheap upgrade, I recommend this drive
This SSD Drive seems to work well. I'm using it to upgrade a Dell Mini Laptop and I'm using the 120gb model. Since i'm using Linux Mint on the Dell I am unable to really git a good performance rating in the upgrade, but it certainly works better than a mechanical drive. I'll see if I can find a Disk performance tool in Linux to evaluate it further. My only complaint is the Plastic shell on the drive. I'm no rocket scientist, but Plastic does't conduct heat well. For a cheap upgrade, I recommend this drive. Update: I did run a Linux Benchmard test using the Linux Mint Disk tool and it ran well. I'm not going to post the results, because it's too hard to copy from one system to another at this time. I did forget that you have to run the Linux test when the drive is unmounted so I booted with a USB stick on a Live Linux Mint and ran the tests that way. But again, the Drives performs well for a Laptop upgrade. For a high performance Desktop or Laptop, I would use the Various Samsung models, as I already do on my Windows 10 Pro systems.

Worked great on an old Mac mini, now in an old Mac Pro!
I bought this to go into a mid-2010 Mac mini, and it works great. (iFixit will help you with the instructions) Even though the mini only has SATA2, replacing the original 5400RPM hard drive with this SSD has made a substantial difference in the everyday performance "feel" of the computer. Programs that used to take several seconds to launch now open significantly faster. It's not instantaneous, as we are still talking about a 2.4Ghz Core2 Duo here, but the difference is quite noticeable, and it breaths new life into old hardware. An SSD is one of the best upgrades you can do to an old PC!6 Month Update:Still going strong with no noticeable change in performance. I've since pulled it from the Mac Mini and dropped it into a 2009 Mac Pro, modded to 5,1. This serves as my OS drive (with users being on a spinning disk), and it still runs like a champ. I'm not an intensive user of storage, but I do appreciate fast boot and application load times, which this SSD will deliver.
