Five Mix Peppercorns

All we can say is wOw...both my husband and I ADORE this blend! I bought a new pepper mill so we could hang onto our old blend (white, black, pink, green & Jamaican), but I gotta tell you...neither of us have even TOUCHED the old one since the Mondo Five Mix arrived!With our old blend there was a hint of bitterness from time-to-time, and although we actually read about that being the case with cubeb berries too we didn't detect one IOTA of that with this mix at ALL! This cubeb berry mix just adds a consistently nice, ultra-smooth flavor, with a tiny little bit of "zip" that both of us seem to love. Hubby says it woke up his taste buds and he can now actually "taste" pepper better than he ever could!Not only that, but the Jamaican pepper, aka allspice berries, in our old blend was a bit larger and was always clogging up our pepper mill...a problem we surely DO NOT miss with the Mondo Mix tailed cubeb berry!!!Plus, because of one of the other reviews, I wanted to mention that to me the product looked to be pretty much what I expected ~ maybe even a little more than what I thought it'd be for a 2-ounce size jar, but that's just me.So MondoSpice, this Five Mix Peppercorn Blend formula is wonderful. Terrific taste, no clogging up the pepper mill ~ it's a definite keeper for sure!*************************10/5/2018 UPDATEWell I wanted to update my June, 2016 review. We've continued to enjoy this peppercorn blend exclusively, always keeping stocked, never buying any other pepper since that time. I received my most recent order just today however, and I'm sad to say things have changed. It is no longer packaged in the plastic jar that you're seeing there in the photo. Instead it arrived in a small cellophane ziplock bag. And although it was shipped in their usual 5" x 5" x 5" carton (that same carton that was used to accommodate the jar), a good many of the red peppercorns arrived pre-crushed in this particular batch. The worst part of all is that when I dumped the contents of the cello bag into my old Mondo jar (I had about 1/2" - 3/4" inch left in my old plastic jar), it only filled the jar to the halfway point...and THAT'S with my leftover product at the bottom!! :-OSo. I felt the need to amend my review and for all these reasons...crushed red peppercorns; receiving an item that's different than pictured (packaged in a ziplock instead of a jar); and, the amount I've been getting for years is suddenly cut in HALF...I sadly feel the need to subtract two stars.

LOVE fresh peppercorns and these have a great aroma and taste; only wish there was more tellicherry (sp?) peppercorns (pink ones). The container is sturdy and air-tight and is a decent size to fit in most fridge doors.

wow what a difference from the store bought corns, these are very strong and the jar was much bigger then I expected I highly recommend this

These are super and very good taste using with food. I will definitely buy them again. They last as the container is a large one.

Nice blend of peppercorns, picture looks bigger than actual bottle, but theres plenty of product there
