Nice product!
This is a nice product. I have been a fabricator most of my life and this will come in very handy. I have put it off for too long. It is working well and I'm glad to have it

Good enough.
Received it quick as I needed it thank you Amazon for your services. As far as the 10โ drill press by Wen goes, assembly has simplified since the instructions were originally printed. The alignment from shaft to table tilt was impressive out of the box. The alignment from post to front was off, but the shaft is set similarly. These parts cannot be adjusted so itโs a wash. Not sure about the fit check mark but Iโm gonna keep rolling here. I was drilling 1-5/8โ forestner bits 3/16โ deep and bound up only a couple of times. I was drilling cherry and walnut. The cherry was soft enough to get results, the walnut could just be grain. Love the wrench storage clip, hate the slim table edges. It operates as it should, but belt adjustment was a bit of a chore. Production stopped when the knurled nuts started creeping down with gravity. It has to be secured with pliers for accurate depth. All in all I say yes. Itโs a harbor freight unit that has decent power, provided time is not important if you have a deadline. Simple tasks are most benefited with this machine.

Some assembly issues, but easy to fix if you have straight hands. Awesome drill otherwise!
You have to make sure that the shaft and chuck are very clean before you assemble it, and then tap it into place. Work table is too small for 4" wise (see photo) Call support number instead of Amazon if you need replacement parts. Amazon only offers to send whole new unit instead of tiny piece. Tighten set screw (match it with the cut in the shaft) in plastic chuck pulley (see photo) before working - common QC issue with 6.2A model. Pulley has metal insert and handles torque well. You may possibly need to overtighten the belt to prevent it from slipping if you use hole saw. Motor itself has a lot of torque. You may need to replace starting capacitor ("blue/gray thing size of a D battery") if your motor start smoking or if motor start making humming noise but doesn't turn. Either cut off that capacitor and turn motor correct direction every time you power it up or go to HVAC supply or small computer repair shop with old capacitor and motor specs to get replacement capacitor (use the same uF value, but same or higher voltage). WEN website has those replacement capacitors too. Variable speed motors have very weak torque on low speeds - buy async motor model (speed is adjusted by belt position) if you need torque. You need to turn pulleys when switching belt positions

Poor quality control and lack of attention to detail destroyed any sense of quality or value.
The instruction: attach column to base. The result: had to retap holes in base The instruction: tighten set screws in head to holes on column. The result: there are no holes anywhere on the column. The instruction: clean chuck and spindle with acetone or thinner then using a piece of wood on the press table press the chuck onto the spindle using the travel handle, press hard. The result: Are you kidding? Use the drill press to press a fitting onto the spindle risking damage to various parts of the tool? The instruction: remove zero pin to adjust table angle. The result: the pin is a pressed fitting that is half threaded with an absolutely useless nut screwed on with no apparent purpose. I had to remove the table and hammer the pin out. The instruction: To adjust belt tension loosen motor tightening knob and tilt motor toward front of head. The result: The motor doesn't move at all but I was able to force the belt to the pulley combination I wanted. No quality control and a frustrating assembly that took far too long. The Amateurish and poorly illustrated instruction manual was apparently written by a non-English speaking person and I thought Wen was an American company. The drill is quiet and does work which is why it got two stars.

Update: some help -Parts missing and poor service.
It came well packaged but missing a few small parts. I called Wen and talked to a helpful and patient guy who helped me find the missing parts on the diagram and parts list and had them sent to me. This is rare service today. Edit : I've waited over two weeks and the missing parts still haven't shipped. This is POOR service. Edit 2 Finally got parts after 5 weeks. THEN I found out that it has terrible runout in the spindle. Both spindle and motor shaft are shaking with runout. GARBAGE and too late to return. Edit3: Got a dial indicator and found the pully end of the spindle was bent. Also the belt was way too tight. I suspect the tight belt bent the spindle in shipment. I got a K31 belt (inch longer) and tapped the spindle until straight. I now have .0015" runout . Good enough for me. There are several brands of these with the tight belt problem. The K31 still tightens fine.
