Propet Mens Cliff Walker Boot

Extra wide comfort
I love that these come in the extra wide (EEE) size. Most hiking boots are limited to medium or wide, and getting them extra wide comes at a premium cost. I would typically just buy the wide size and deal with some discomfort until they were broken in. These were a perfect fit for my extra wide feet right out of the box, and they didn't have an exorbitant price. They are well constructed all leather hiking boots that should last a long time with proper care.

Best boots ever
These boots are fantastic . They are wide, the sole is rigid, they are light, comfortable and good looking. We like hiking and I had a hard time finding boots where I didn’t feel stones and that are wide enough for me. I had New Balance boots before and it was a torture every time I was hiking. The sole was too soft and very uncomfortable.

Truly one of a kind boot, and I do mean one of kind! The largest Propet 13/5E boot ever made!
Propet is fine shoe company that typically makes a very high quality product, even though many of their products like this one are made in China. However, my experience with this particular boot leads me to believe that their quality control is not so good, which is why I'm only giving this product 4 stars, primarily for inconsistent fit. To be specific, I am a large, diabetic man with a very wide and swollen foot making it nearly impossible for me to buy shoes from a regular shoe store, whether brick and mortar or online. Only shoes from specialty medical shoe companies such as Dr. Comfort, Orthofeet, or Apis, known for their extremely wide (up to 14E) and double to triple depth shoes for diabetic and problem feet like mine usually fit me. As you might guess, these specialty shoes typically cost $120-$180 per pair as a rule. These Propet boots only come in 5E width max, but based on reviews of how comfy and big they were, I took a chance and ordered them. I was shocked that they actually fit my very fat and wide foot and are fairly comfortable. I liked them so much, I ordered another pair in black to have as backup, as well as a few other Propet shoes in the same size, 13/5E. When these other shoes arrived, not one of the other pairs, regardless of style, came close to fitting, leading me to believe that this brown boot was clearly cut larger than any other same sized shoe in their line-up, even the same exact boot in a different color! (No, it wasn't mismarked as the length of the brown and black boots were identical, but the brown boot that I'm reveiwing here was easily twice to three times as wide, so it was pattern thing, and this boot would be very, very huge on persons normally wearing a size 13/5E shoe. I hope this isn't confusing, but the fact it fits me is total fluke and I will probably never find this error again. So I'll just enjoy this boot till it wears out as it's much less expensive than my usual medical footwear.

Propet Men's Cliff Walker Boot
I ordered the men's version of the Propet Cliff Walker Boot because the women's version did not have my size. Before ordering I found more detailed information on Propet, this boot, fit guides, and size and width charts at healthyfeetstore.com. I carefully measured the length and width of my feet and ordered according to the measurements on the charts. The boots fit me perfectly. They are attractive, very well-made and sturdy, although a little heavy. Plenty of toe room, and although they have some arch support and cushioning, I need more so I put my own favorite insoles on top of the removable insoles, and that makes them perfect. The boots have a wide, deep toe box and roominess for orthotic inserts, so I think that's why some reviewers say they run too large. Instead of guessing and sizing up or down, I recommend one go to healthyfeetstore.com, measure your feet, find your inches on their size and width charts, and order the corresponding size to your measurements. I'm wearing these mainly for long walks with the dogs on sidewalks, and so far so good. I'm not an avid hiker and don't walk in rain or snow here, but IMO these boots can withstand rough terrain. Can't speak to their longevity since I haven't worn them long enough. 5 stars for fit, comfort, support, quality, and price.

Terrific Boots for Arthritic Feet
My husband has severe rheumatoid arthritis that makes finding well fitting, comfortable and supportive footwear a nightmare. I have been trying to get him to shop for snow boots for ten years. His doctor has warned him about the danger of falling and breaking his fragile bones, but he has insisted on using the snow blower on our steep and curved driveway wearing only sneakers - and we get lots of snow! I finally decided to take a chance and order these boots, hoping they would fit. Although the website suggested ordering a larger size than he usually wears (10.5 EEEE), after reading lots of reviews I decided to go with his regular size. The only difference was that there were no 4E sizes, so I went with the 5E. They arrived just in time for our two biggest snow falls of this winter - 15 inches and 12inches. His only complaint when he tried them on was that their was no padding for the bottom of his feet, which are very sensitive. We took out the innersoles and put in a pair of "massaging gel" innersoles. With no time for breaking them in, he wore them for several hours each day and loved them. No aching feet, no wet socks and no falls!

Great for flat feet
Not only do I have flat feet but I have type 2 diabetes so am worried about my feet. These boots had to come from the U S but they are great. No pain in my little toes, and are sturdy and seem waterproof enough. And as these initially came in at half the price of other brands they are amazing. The price has gone up to a more normal level, but still, I’ll get them again no question.

Nice boots. Comfortable and warm. Beware the width issue on sizing.
The good news: seem like nice boots. Appear well made and are comfortable (see below for more on that). Comfortable even for all day wear. Kept my feet warm in very cold temps. Soles seem to have good traction on snow. Laces are weirdly long. There are lots of reviews on these that touch on the sizing issue. I ordered what was listed as my size in "5e". I normally take a 3e. Right now I am wearing them with heavy dress socks and they are a perfect, snug fit. Dont think boot socks would work. I should note that I have orthotics (arch supports). So yes, get them but upsize on your width.

so the purchase and exchange process was horrible. However
I was sent the wrong product, so the purchase and exchange process was horrible. However, the boots themselves are great! Very few boots are available in 5E width, which is what I needed. I took a chance on these and am very happy with them. Most importantly, the fit is good. Not only that, but the materials and construction of the boot are top notch. The leather exterior and rubber sole are both attractive and functional. The tongue and ankle areas are nicely padded, providing good comfort. I also like the laces and speed hooks. It's all about fit. If you choose the correct size and width, I think you'll be very happy with the boots.
