I have a burr coffee grinder that has a three prong convient plug. Somehow they did not ground the plastic container; which collects static electricity, and spews the ground coffee all over the counter top. l plugged in the Grounding cord with anti static (with out the grounding bracelet), and touched the plastic container with the alligator clip. NO more static electricity and no ground coffee all over the counter top!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!

The first one broke such that the cable came out of the adjoining piece that connects the wrist strap to the wall cable, hence, the low durability rating. I have a replacement now, but additionally, the alligator clip that comes with it has fallen apart and remains useless. Fortunately, I don't really need to use that attachment. The stretch seems good -- I am only about 5 feet from the wall and supposedly this can stretch 15 feet. I feel a slight tug mostly from the weight of the cable. What I really want is an ankle strap version, but I have yet to find it on Amazon. Anyway, I am presently using the replacement I received while I walk on a treadmill between 2 and 2.5 MPH while I am working at my standing desk. I have a keyboard that is made of metal (not the keys themselves, but the rest of it) and has RGB lights underneath all the keys. When I walk on the treadmill without the strap, I would often get shocked and the keyboard lights would flicker as the static electricity transferred to the keyboard. Now, I don't get shocked, however, I still see the lights under the keys flicker in response to receiving the static discharge -- basically, this thing doesn't seem to work that well. I need to find a better solution. I may return this and try something else. UPDATE 8-7-2020: It broke again in the exact same method as mentioned above. This thing is total junk and now I cannot return it.

The two prongs are dummy (i wish they were plastic). The bottom plug is ground obviously. You get secure ground. Comes with banana clip or alligator clip. mini telephone spiral chord stretchy cable. The biggest issue for me is -- price tag. I had to bite the bullet and just buy it because i'm just too lazy to make my own. I guess that is the price to pay for my laziness.
