This is a nice thick case, sturdy, and it's (rubber)buttons go over the Samsung S5 buttons and work well. The case is two parts. The black part covers the screen of the phone and has a belt clip attached. The red part that houses the phone has a pull out stand the holds the phone up horizontally. The insides of the two pieces are lined for safety against impact (dropping it won't rattle the phone). The screen w/o the black cover is protected well by the red cover with a flexible black rubber frame, also protects the screen. Unless you drop it on a spike, this is a nice security case for the phone. I got the deep red color, not offensive at all (not cadium or bright red). I would definitely recommend this case.

Just finally managed to put this case on my new S5 phone a little while ago. It's rather nice to have a nice sturdy case to put my phone in especially since the S5 feels so fragile on it's own. I wound up cracking the base of it's thin and flimsy back cover due to how cheap that plastic is. It's not a deal breaker, but close to it. The case itself though is made of a hard plastic where the red coloring is. The black or dark gray color is all rubber. The rubber isn't too soft, but at the same time doesn't feel flimsy. If you're well versed in these types of phone cases then it's installation is no problem at all. The kickstand isn't ideal for vertical usage of the phone, but looks to be great for landscape viewing of the phone.

I did not expect such great quantity because I didn't have to pay much but wow a year later and I had to come and write a review which I don't often do. Great value great price.

The ad says it will fit an S5Active. Mine is 5-years old, and the case is a bit too small to fit effectively. I have jammed my phone into the case, and slide, but cannot access it quickly. Also, when sliding the cover through the carrier, the phone is turned on, or off, because it drags on the side function buttons. The case is very well made, and offers great protection, but mine needs to be 3-5 millimeters wider, and longer, to fit properly. The formed button covers in the rubber insert do not match the ones on my particular phone. I like the style and shape of this phone cover, and it offers the protection I asked for. It is also very well constructed.

Got this case to protect my Galaxy S5 Android phone. It was very durable and rugged, but a little thicker than I had anticipated. It was also difficult to get the phone into the phone half of the case. And once in, difficult to access the flap that protected the power input. I liked having the belt clip, so it could be carried around.The problem with the higher-profile phone case came to a head when it caught on the car door getting out of the car. This caused the tiny plastic part holding the belt clip to snap, and the belt clip came off, making it impossible to clip the phone to anything, and seemed impossible to repair. So, about 8 months into owning this case, I had to abandon it and purchase another.

I %100 Recommend this case. My s5 has done gymnastics floor routines and not one scratch! This case does its job and then some. The rubber is kind of annoying when trying to make it fit properly after putting the second part of the case, but it is really not something you think twice about. I can be very clumsy with my phone and the case still has no sign of being worn out. It has been almost five months and I usually go through cases within weeks and it is still keeping my phone scratch free and looking brand new.

My phone is fully protected in this awesome case. I love the kickstand, but regret that it doesn't allow a vertical position. So far I've only found one case - for my Tab A - that sets up a device on the vertical. Why is this, casemakers? We generally read on Vertical, and phones are too small for horizontal to make much sense.Verticality! Think UP!

ORIGINAL PRODUCT REVIEW: On my first version of this product for my Galaxy Tab S5, which was another manufacturer, I had been fairly pleased. This unit looked very similar, which is BOLD. It seems stout enough, but the rubber is a tad sloppy along the top, so it tends to roll back as I extract it from the holster. Still, all in all, my grandson (a first grader) likes the feel of it and the color, so, it has a decent value. UPDATE ON PRODUCT: The holster pin has fallen out and the spring got lost - I am trying the replacement and praying.
