Bought as a replacement in my Marshall AVT50H
The stock reverb tank in my Marshall AVT50H stopped working so after some searching around I decided on this one. It was very easy to install, 4 screws and re-plug the 2 RCA plugs into it. I think it's made much better than the original one. Not sure if it sounds better since the other one wasn't working but it certainly sounds good. I would recommend this or buy it again if I needed another one.

Eh.. not what I was expecting
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to replace the busted reverb tank that was in my used Marshall VS65R when it was given to me. I have a reverb pedal that works just fine with this amp but I’d heard so many great things about analog spring reverb in online forums and YouTube videos that I thought it was worth the relatively low cost of replacing the unit in my amp. But I have to say I’m not really impressed. I was expecting to hear that lush, spacious, smooth echo reverb but it sounded instead like I was playing in a medium sized room made of tin. It sounded springy, but not in a good way. The echo sounds jagged, not smooth, almost like a really tight slapback effect. Setting the reverb any more past 2 on my amp and it starts to sound really synthetic and unusable. Quite honestly, my Fender Marine Layer reverb pedal sounds miles better. I should’ve just stuck with that. Also, it seems that if I hit a particular note or frequency, I hear the springs rattling against each other, making an unpleasant sound. I actually took the tank back off to inspect it and make sure one of the springs didn't dislodge but it didn't. So I don't know if this is normal occurrence because this is my first analog spring reverb but it doesn't seem like this should be happening. Perhaps it’s just the circuitry in my amp translating the signal to sound or maybe it’s the medium decay of this tank but it just doesn’t sound that good to me. For context, it’s being played through a 65 watt Celestion G12 M Creamback speaker so it’s not a matter of a low quality speaker or anything and the reverb was already busted when I got the amp so I have nothing to compare it to. I’m considering returning it despite being a cheap enough part.

Problem solved
The reverb tank is as expected, the holes line up and it sounds better than the original marshall reverb. I had a problem when the item was shown as delivered however It was not received. Dan worked with me to get the issue resolved and I received the item. I gave it 4 stars though because it took about 2 weeks to get my issue resolved.

Exact fit and actually a great upgrade!!!
My reverb went out on my Marshall AVT 50 Combo. After replacing it with this one, I wish it had gone out a lot sooner. It's amazing how much different, and better this one sounds!!! Perfectly swapped out with the old one. Same size, mounting & hookup. Very pleased!!! Note: review written by Lynn's husband :)

Great Replacement
Sounds great and was a direct replacement for my MA100H head. The stock tank was labeled "3DB2C1D" and this tank appears to be identical - 3 springs. Very happy with my purchase and AmplifiedParts shipped it quick!
