I’ve tried third party toner cartridges for this printer many times. I’ve found brands that seemed as good as Brother’s at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately I’ve never found third party cartridges that just work every time. Eventually, maybe not the first time or the second, I get a cartridge that leaks. It’s so much fun cleaning a printer after a toner leak that I now only buy the official Brother toner despite feeling I’m being ripped off. They have never leaked.

You can buy a nice printer for the price of a couple toners.

Okay, I know I'm weird, but I feel a deep connection with my office supplies. My giant Brother printer is one of my prized possesions, so the toner it uses is important to me, too.In my old Minolta printer, I tried an off-brand toner for a huge cost savings. Well, it ruined the printer. No actual costs savings occured because I had to buy a new printer ... my beloved Brother HL-4570CDW.When the Brother needed a new toner, I was happy to see that they are very affordably priced (as long as I don't need to replace all of them at once) and they really DO last a long time. I don't keep track of how many pages I print, but let's just say that I probably print more than I should.Unlike the cheap off-brand toners, this one hasn't exploded inside the unit. It works as it is supposed to.All in all, it is printer toner. It does what it is supposed to. Peace of mind is worth the price!

My last cyan cartridge lasted 2-years. This one lasted 2+months!!!!!!!

I've bought several brother cartridges with no apparent problems. I rarely print in color but seem to have to buy cartridges often the printer will not work even if the black ink is full. The last one I just bought keep saying replace cartridge even though it is new from brother and never been used. i bought a new drum unit because it said 50 % and in less that a few weeks it need a new one. I love the printer but not confident about the control on amount of toner left in cartridges before changing and that the new ones are completely full. Also i recycle my cartridges to the company but don't even get a coupon for a discount for the next purchase of toner.

I have tried cheap knock offs and have been very disappointed. Stick with the brand name original toner cartridges to make sure your printer performs as it should. I only use the manufacturers toners to make sure my MFC-9970CDW printer produces a nice output.

Print quality is great. Did not want to go with the 315 since I do not print out that many color pages.

I gave up trying to use new aftermarket color tonor as I cannot find a good brand that works consistently.I finally gave up and went back to using overpriced OEM tonor, at least they do not make a mess out of my printer that is a nightmare to clean up, and they always print very nice.

Works as expected since it is the original brother toner. Wish it was cheaper.
