I bought it for my son (8years old), it's easy to challenge more detail of fractions, and decimals and percentages which can be helpful to review what he did in the school.

We've looked at a few books for Maths and this is the best one so far for our learning style.This series offers a workbook for a specific maths area for a particular year group under the 2014 national curriculum. This one is Fractions ( with decimals & percentages) for year 4, also described as lower KS2 at primary school for all you primary school parents.Each skill is clearly explained before being tested and increasingly challenged to a reasonable level without the question style becoming repetitive, aka boring. There are also tests after a few units to check retention. Feels obvious, surely, but we haven't found a series like this before. The booklet isn't so thick so as to feel daunting and there are answers available in a separate teacher's book. (which we also have).I'm reassured by the level of challenge by the end of each unit and we can move on without worrying we've missed something. The workbook also keeps work neatly in one place, important if you're trying to step away from worksheets for a while. The format is accessible, even to younger children (our small person is 6) and at the price point, they represent great value.

Great questions in clear units with more challenging questions at the end of the unit, but NO ANSWERS!You are better off buying the teachers guide (twice the price) but it is full of explanations of material, questions to demonstrate process and then all the questions and answers in this separate book at the back!My advice, buy the teacher book first or buy as a pair. No point buying this book on its own!
