CanDo Blue PE Foam Rollers for Fitness, Exercise Muscle Restoration, Massage Therapy, Sport Recovery and Physical Therapy for Homes, Clinics, and Gyms 6 " x 12" Half-Round

This is a Not As Expected Item. I have one very similar to this that I purchased from my Chiropractic Doctor about a year ago. That one finally started to deteriorate after a year's time. I purchased this one - hoping it was similar - and received it on April 9th. So, with the exception for about 4 travel days, I have used it daily since then. Initially I thought it was very close to the same as my original purchase but after only about 17 days of use it is already starting to deteriorate in the center where I roll my back. The photo attached shows the original one - a year old or so - on the bottom of the photo. The brand new one at the top of the photo. You can see that the new one has already started to crush down in the center and won't be any good in just a few days. It has become - already - very, very "soggy" in the middle. Granted I use it everyday but I really expected it to last longer than just a few weeks. Wish I could tell you that this is a great roller but it appears that in another week or so it will be going into the trash because it wouldn't be usable. Better to spend a little more and get something that - hopefully - will last much longer.

Let me tell you what I ordered, why and why this is 5 starsI ordered a half round 6 by 48. I got it because I sit over a computer all day and posture has been an issue. I bought the half round because I already have a roller and the roller didnt get things loosened in my thoracic spine.What I have done for the last week to get me results I haven't seen in years is to lay the half round along my spine from my butt crack to my head. I just spread my arms and my spine loosens up on either side and my chest is stretching in a way that's best described as GREAT. I just lay there for 3-4 minutes and that's it and the results have been fantastic.I wouldn't do this on a cylindrical roller as the goal is to be stationary and let gravity do its job. Its not to roll.Is this the highest quality foam ? No. However for my use I will give this 10 stars and its been a godsend.

EDIT: I successfully sealed the cut side by using baking parchment and a household iron. Just hold the parchment paper against the flakey foam and iron gently, checking frequently under the paper to be sure it has flattened out and sealed before moving further along. If you’re worried about fumes, do this with ventilation, but there wasn’t any odor when I did this.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I need this roller for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I expected the product to be sealed. I have tiny rough pieces of blue foam all over everywhere after it arrived this afternoon. I shall seal it myself with either heat or pva glue, but seriously guys - what are you thinking?? You’re selling to people in pain, people with disabilities. We don’t want this to be yet another thing that causes more work.

I'd read a couple of reviews complaining about the shorter size. Not sure why those people bought the 3" x 12" if that wasn't what they wanted to start with. I'm using this for a Pain Protocol Program which uses this behind the neck when working the program. It is absolutely the perfect size for this. It's firm enough without being rock hard. I'm really, really, really pleased with this roller.

I purchased this to use for a dummy cake. I couldn't find a real dummy cake in the height that I wanted (5"-6"). I know it is not labeled for that purpose, but it worked great. It was a lot less expensive than buying individual styrofoam disks and then stacking them. This was surprisingly easy to cut - I just used a sharp plain-edged knife. This foam roll is of great quality and came without dents. I hot glued it to a Wilton 6" Smooth Edge Cake Separator Plate, and it fit perfectly! I applied a thin layer of buttercream and covered it in fondant. When the party was over, this roll washed off easily since the sides aren't rough and semi-porous like the styrofoam sold specifically for dummy cakes. I can reuse this same one again.

I bought this due to to the combination of low price + review. I read about the flakes, but when looking at the reviews, there were still a lot of reviews for the half round specifically that were 4-5 stars. Given other products are often 2 to 3 times the price, I took a chance.Well, it certainly flakes, pic 1 is a light tap of it on my desk. light touch and maybe 1 inch flick of my wrist onto my desk I couldn't find my iron (...) so I went went puzzle glue ( I am sure Elmer's glue etc will work just fine) and splattered it on. I didnt care too much so I laid it thick. I am sure if you are patient, 2 to 3 thin layer will work great. Never the less, 2nd pic is right after the glue is applied and 3rd pic is after it dried.This worked well enough and is cheap. If I do find myself consistently use this, I will likely upgrade to something better but this will suffice for now.

While this half roller appears like it's good quality, it is NOT.Not sealed on the flat side. The raw foam sheds little pieces of foam everywhere -- on the floor rug etc.Makes a big mess. ugh

After knee replacement, I was given a sheet with twice daily exercises I needed to do. This roll was my favorite thing to use to help straighten my leg. I could feel the back of my knee loosen every time I used it. Much better than the rolled up towel they had me use during PT. I believe this simple roll is what helped me walk within a week without pain and drive within three weeks of surgery.

Happy to be able to buy this roller during lockdown allowing me to continue with pilates routine at home. Perfect.

Simply does the job

Product is good but couldn't believe the amount of plastic wrapping on it! Three layers of thick clear plastic under two layer of blue plastic. Took me 5mind to get into it. Shocking and totally unnecessary. Please change this practice.

Have to build up my core strength and knee after a skiing accident and using this product to achieve this.
