Vollrath (56507) 4-Cup Egg Poacher Set

Very good

Nothing is as good as the inexpensive old fashioned aluminum egg poacher with a one-piece insert. The Vollrath model is over kill. The bottom pan is unnecessarily heavy. The egg cups ridiculously light. These cups sit separately in a one piece holder separate from the pan. It is very difficult to get the cups out of the holder and get the egg onto your plate. Each egg cup has a tab which is nearly impossible to grasp and you must do just that to get to your egg. Remember you are doing this while the apparatus is boiling hot! In addition, I don't like the contour of the egg cups vs the old-fashioned, cheaper aluminum models. Yes, the contour does make a difference in how the egg cooks, but what can you do. These egg poachers are difficult to find; when I do find another model, this one goes right in the trash.

I was very disappointed with this product. The cups that hold the eggs are very cheaply made. The eggs stick to the cups and the cups are very hard to clean after using the product. Even when the cups are sprayed with Pam or a similar product, they still stick.
