Purchased as a replacement for a mouse in a Microsoft Wireless Desktop
I needed a mouse to replace a worn out mouse from an older Microsoft Wireless Desktop which still had a functioning keyboard which I liked. I purchased 2 of these, one to use now and one as a spare since I have a number of Microsoft Wireless Desktop set ups both at home and at the office. Over the years I've had pretty good luck swapping wireless Microsoft keyboards / mice / wireless receivers to fit keyboard or mice styles for myself and others. Not every combination works. Success is dependent on the compatibility of the software version (Intellitype or Intellipoint) you're using as well as the receiver version and the keyboard / mouse style. This mouse worked perfectly as a replacement and was a lot cheaper than replacing the entire wireless desktop so I'm giving it 5 stars since it met my needs perfectly.

Good wireless mouse, works well
Despite some of the previous bad reviews, I have found this mouse to be very good. Yes, the middle wheels clicks as you scroll, but this is carried over from the regular Microsoft corded mouse that has been so popular for 10 years. It works well. One of the best things about this mouse is that it requires no extra driver software to be installed. Many of the newer-style mice (like the Microsoft 5000 laser wireless mouse) require up to 100MB of hard drive space to install it's drivers. Hard drive space isn't the problem - it's all the extra software constantly running in the background that can cause conflicts with other programs and unnecessary RAM usage. All in all, I love this mouse - it has the same feel as my trusty "regular" Microsoft mouse, without having to worry about the cord getting hung up. No conflicts with my 2.4GHz phone or router, both sitting on the same desk. Recommended.

Best mouse I ever had
I bought this mouse in August of 2013 and I use it every day at work. It has never failed to work perfectly. A reviewer said it was too heavy. But I like the fact that when I let go of the mouse it stays put and doesn't move and leaves the pointer exactly where I left it. If and when it needs to be replaced, I will buy it again at full price rather than have any other mouse given to me free. Unfortunately my pc at work will only install MS software to which this mouse is not compatible and now I must get newer MS mouse

Doesn't work very well
The scroll wheel does not work properly, it intermittenly refuses to scroll instead often goes to the "automatic scroll" mode and scroll the screen to end of the page. Also it often won't work after I click on it to get me to certain site.

it's a basic mouse
I've been using this mouse at work for about two years without any issues.. It's not stellar, but it's also not terrible. It's about as basic as a wireless mouse can get. I've never had scroll wheel issues (seems normal to me) and the only time that it has trouble tracking is when it's low on batteries (they seem to last a few months at a time), which aren't terribly difficult to replace. All in all I work 40+ hours a week and only have to replace the batteries every few months. That's pretty decent! For the past 5 years I've been using a Logitech G5 and only just upgraded that to a G502. This mouse isn't anywhere near the league that those play in. However, for general use and $15 this isn't bad. You can get a better mouse with more functionality for more money (or possibly the same), but I haven't had any issues with this one and it's neither great nor terrible.

Worst mouse I've ever owned
I have had 32 mice, wired and wireless in the past 10 years. Do not buy this one, it is by far the worst mouse I have ever owned. I had one last year I threw away, and this is not worth returning. YOU WERE WARNED!!!

Excellent value for the money!
The item was received exactly as it was described and was easily connected to my existing USB wireless adapter (used with my Microsoft keyboard). The mouse did come with it's own USB wireless adapter. But I did not need it.
