Good quality, mild spurs
My daughter is riding a "lesson"/"trail" horse that suffers from the usual behavioral issues that develop with that lifestyle. (i.e. the plodding along, the "follow the leader" and just plain not wanting to put much energy into her rides) Although she started out riding western, we wanted a very small spur - without a rowel - that would allow her to gently tap her horse to get her moving - rather than needing to kick her repeatedly to break her out of the plodding. This spur fits our needs, allowing her to get a gentle nudge when she needs it.

Excellent!
I love that these spurs have a super short neck, and therefore are truly "soft-touch". No point in having a roller ball rowel if the shank of the spur is very long and going to create a blunt-spur effect! My one complaint would be that these fit a bit on the wide side - I wear a ladies' shoe size 9 and have what I've always thought to be a rather wide foot - these gap around the back of my boot slightly when worn. Punching an extra hole in my spur straps made a big difference and prevented the spurs from sliding as I rode, so I'm happy - but be prepared to adjust your straps for a correct fit!

Just a bit disappointed.
I have not gotten the chance to use these yet, due to the fact that my spur straps don't fit through the "holes" provided. Mind you, I don't have extremely wide straps. Just a bit disappointed.

works well
I use this spur for the beginning of the week, after my horse has had a day off and is feeling more energenic than usual(he always needs something because my trainer has confirmed that he's the laziest horse in the barn). This spur doesn't give my horse a sharp stick, which I might accidently do while going over jumps. It's just a bit more than no spur at all, and doesn't dig into his side. A great alternative to a nub spur that might not be quite enough.

Just what we needed!
Bought these to replace my old rowel spurs that were much sharper and used on my previous horse that was super dead to the leg. Now I have a young TB, who can live behind the leg, but was too sensitive for the old spurs (he would sometimes kick out at them), so I stopped wearing them. These helped refine my leg aids without being "too much". Our first ride in them was phenomenal and his response to them was exactly what I was hoping for.

Sensitive mare approved!
I have a super sensitive mare that tends to fall behind the leg when upset, normal spurs warrant ear pinning and tail switching but not these! It’s been so awesome to be able to refine some leg aids without the drama!

Good quality spur
Good quality, should last me a while using them every day at my job working with horses. I love that the POW spurs are effective but gentle on skin! I never worry about accidentally leaving spur rubs on any of the horses!

Great set of spurs
These are very nice spurs. They are just the right amount of pressure for a lazy mare but not to much for an Off The Track gelding. My Grand uses these weekly and never takes them off.
