They did ask for a video of the problem which, when I tried to record it, the scooter was totally nonresponsive. So I showed a video of the charger showing a full charge but the scooter not turning on. When they got that they sent me a full refund to my Amazon account. I did have to return the defective scooter but fortunately I live near their warehouse so I arranged to return it there.I see most people have had good luck with their M2Pros, so apparently most if them are reliable rides. The Kugoos do have a better warranty than most of the electric scooters out there.I got this in May. Ride for about 4 to 5 miles an outing a couple of times a week. Charge it after every other use. Today is the SECOND TIME I had to walk it home. Out of nowhere, the battery drops to nothing in a matter of seconds after only a mile, and that was with four bars to start. Today I noticed it said E3 on the screen, which is supposed to be a thumb controller problem. Strangely, before I took it inside today after dragging it home, I hit the starter button to get a photo of the error, well, after it's two mile walk home it had battery power of three bars. Not happy right now. I guess now I get to see how good the warranty is.t was important to me to get a scooter with electronics certified by the Underwriters Laboratories, and this one fit the bill. With the reports of scooter fires, I did not want to buy one with sketchy electronics. It also has the puncture proof tires I wanted and has other features, like battery life and motor wattage, that I wanted. It is heavier than I'd like but seems solidly made. I am disappointed that the charger is not also UL certified. Based on the location of the folding mechanism, I figured that I'd be able to hold the handlebars and wheel it around on the front wheel like I saw someone do with a Gotrax, but since the handlebar stem does not hook onto the rear fender, the deck flops on one side or the other instead of being centered, and makes it unwieldy to roll. I hope Kugoo can do some sort of brace to center the deck so we can roll it instead of having to carry it.I took my first ride on it today. It was very easy to use, but the disc brakes squeaked when I pulled the lever. Even with the suspension, it was kind of a bumpy ride.Read the instructions carefully before putting it together, as there is a thing about a screw on the left side of the handlebar bracket that is not clearly specified. I knew about it from a YouTube video. All in all, I think it was a good choice.

Great buy, get the insurance. When the collapse button gives out they fix it no problem. Happened after a year.

I'm 70+ and have been looking for a small but capable e-scooter that would allow me to put 2 scooters in a very small Toyota Yaris trunk for use when traveling and exploring since my wife and I just retired. This scooter is light, strong and capable and even at my age I feel confident and safe driving it around our small town. I ordered the black S1 Plus for myself and after I had a quick test ride I immediately ordered a white one for my wife.When choosing this scooter (after months of research) I found that various configurations are shipped around the world. I held my breath waiting for delivery and was pleased to find 20+mph speed, cruise control and what appears to be a 7.5ah battery (not 6ah) but there is no 'config plate' on the side/bottom so I will have to find out from riding range if that is the case.I weigh barely over 100lbs and this scooter just rocks with me on it.Earlier reviews pointed out that performance degrades after around half of the battery is discharged. When it arrived there were only 3 bars and top speed (no load, freewheeling with the motor off the ground) was only 18mph. After a full charge I saw 21mph so I can confirm this behavior.Past reports of the behavior of the throttle and e-brake indicated the braking was not smooth with an 'early fast grab' when light pressure is applied. Software must have been tweaked since I observed that the brake operated proportionally and was very smooth for braking with light pressure and I did not feel the need to use the rear foot brake.Summary: So far so good. Not only did the scooter fit in my extra small trunk I could actually place the entire scooter in the packing box in the trunk with room to spare! At the current deal price I feel this scooter is a major bargain for what you get. I'll update here if any issues arise.

Bought two for me and my partner. Absolutely amazing speeds, topping out at 19 mph for me (99lbs) and 18 for my husband (145 lbs ).Brakes are full stop brakes, so make sure to lean back or bend over if braking at high speeds.The throttle on these is also full-go, and rather hard to make it go anything but top speed. Luckily there are three gears that limit the speeds: 1 - 9 mph, 2 - 12 mph, 3 - top speed.One of the only big downsides for me was how loud the sound effects are. It generates crazily loud beeps for changing gears, turning on the headlights, and when the battery is on the last bar.I have not found a way to turn off the sounds, but if I could I would edit this review to be 5 stars.

There are 3 speed ranges: #1 tops out at 5mph. #2 tops out at 9mph. #3 tops out at 16mph. The different speed ranges are very useful. It's nice to have a low top speed when riding with small kids. At 9mph, #2 is the fastest I'm comfortable riding normally because if I hit a rock or something and find myself off the scooter and suddenly trying to run at whatever speed, I don't think my feet would be able to keep up at faster speeds. But on an occasional SMOOTH bit of traffic free pavement, being able to go even faster is fun.We purchased it as a "toy", but it definitely seems capable for short distance transportation, within a few miles. So far I've traveled several miles at a time, starting from a full charge and the battery indicator never went below half.The speed/info screen is an appropriate brightness for night time riding.The headlight is functional and is a must! The running lights are also functional. The tail lights blink when you use the motor-brake.The twisting ring on the folding handlebars is quick to use and feels more solid than those click-button style handlebars.The kickstand is easy to use without scraping up your shoe.

The media could not be loaded.  When we received the Kugoo M2 we were first happy to receive the product. The look is cool and it is easy to carry it to go to work.However, be aware that the electric scooter speed and battery duration (after a complete charge) performance are not exactly what they mention in the technical specs...>> TODAY, after 6 months the electric scooter is not working anymore. When we want to start it, it does not work (even after a full charge), the screen is off. It is supposed to be under warranty 12 months but we did not hear back from Kugoo Canada... we are disappointed and regret this purchase.

Don’t underestimate the highest speed of this scooter. Went to the highest speed to see how fast it was, ended up on the pavement with 3 injuries. Lol it’s fast! But a very sturdy scooter and I’m looking forward to being more careful on it.
