Columbia Men's Leather Slim Ft. Pocket Wallet

I was given this wallet for Father's day eight years ago and have carried it daily since. I have found it to be very durable with the only problems being: 1. the clear plastic view window turned yellow (typical) making it unusable for ID so I usually have to pull it out and 2. the thin interior lining of the outer pocket came lose at the lip two years ago so I repaired it with Elmer's glue. As to the wallet, stitching, etc. they have all held up well and have a nice worn look of used leather. I keep the four credit cards I use the most in the interior exposed pockets and the six less used ones in the interior hidden pocket. The outside pocket is great for things like the odd parking ticket, receipt, etc. but doesn't hold much. Overall, this is all I need along with a little cash and I am actually thinking about buying another and putting it in my drawer just in case I ever need it. One of the great products and at the price compared to other front pocket wallets, a screaming deal!Update: After having been so pleased with my original wallet I must say I am disappointed in the new one I purchased. The wallet ripped out along the credit card edge and drivers license window and had to be trashed. I noted the new one was not stamped "Genuine Leather" like the first and is made in China. I can only suppose they have moved the manufacturing in recent times to keep costs down" Anyway, I changed my review from 5 stars to 3 based on my recent experience. I actually bought two because I thought I would want to carry them forever but, am now on my second new one in less than two years. We will see how this goes but my original is still standing by with only a yellowed .DL window.

Pass on this wallet. The window where your ID is placed is maid of inferior materials. I have posted a photo showing the issue.

The title says it all. I've had the wallet about six months. No hard use, it just hangs out in my pocket. The biggest problem though is the plastic over the ID. The plastic has fogged over to the point that the ID can no longer be read without removing it. Also, along the hole in the middle the plastic is bubbling. Generally speaking it looks old, and is completely not functional for its intended use. Additionally, the money clip on the inside does not hold bills well, generally when opened or close if you have more than one or two bills in the wallet it looks cluttered. It also doesn't hold the bills in place when opened. The rest of the wallet is fine and well made. I'm not a wallet snob, but I just retired this and bought another product.

The wallet itself seems like it is a pretty sturdy material. It does not look like it will fall apart anytime soon. So that's a definite plus. However I hate wallets that have very tight credit card slots making it almost impossible to put any card that is 1MM above standard size. So my library card and my Duane Reade card do not fit in there at all. I have to put it inside. Not a bad wallet however; don't get me wrong I am just a very picky guy.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He loves the front pocket wallets and the last one that he got is more then 7 years old. He absolutely loves this wallet. He moved the money clip out just a little bit because it was making the money stick out the edge a bit. But since he did that it is absolutely perfect. Columbia makes awesome products!

Love the wallet. For those having issues with the money clip, fold your money in half the long way first before putting in the clip. Works perfectly for me.
