4 stars for fast shipping and a working motor. -1 star arrived in a plain brown box, no instructions or packaging for motor or wiring but there were marks on the motor housing. I have my AC back and that is all that matters here in Georgia!

This motor replaced my old motor and fit and worked perfectly. Not the exact model number but doing the job nicely. Easy to replace.

Motor is the same physical size and has the same wiring making it easy to install but the description on Amazon says the manufacturer is Carrier. The motor I received has a Chinese manufacturers name on it. The motor works but I specifically chose this one for the quality of Carrier. Since it’s not exactly what I ordered I think the motor may not last as long as it should? Only time will tell.

Unit has worked for the last couple years. I thought it would last longer but it looks like it's starting to fail. I found out you is not really oem product so that could be the reason. My oem motor lasted close to 15 years this one barely made 5. Maybe i got a fluke, but it should be advertised as oem if it truly is not.

Bought unit in August of 2019 and product has already failed. Original unit lasted 20 years and this one only 4. Not the same quality.

This A/C fan motor is advertised as a Carrier OEM motor. Even the photo is that of a Carrier motor. What was received is a substitute motor. The motor in the photo of what's advertised is not same as what what received. I called Amazon and they apologized and thankfully re-sent the order and did a return authorization for the original shipment. The Amazon service person also specified in writing to their warehouse that only ship what's advertised do not substitute or swap motors. Second order arrived late per tracking and it contained the exact same type of substitute motor. Buyer Be Ware! You are going to get a motor that is not the same quality. I was now 8 days without any A/C in Florida so I gave up on yet another replacement motor and installed the second one received. Yes it is working and appears to be doing the job. However the capacitor also on same order was much smaller in diameter and the mounting bracket had to be altered by drilling new holes. To my knowledge this is false advertisement or misleading at best. It waisted time by days and advertisment still appears to be not corrected. The substituted motor received that appears on a different Amazon advertisment is about $70 cheaper. Amazon did refund the difference in price but what a time wasting experience this was.

I ordered this motor to replace fan motor HC37GE232 for Carrier Air Conditioner model 38CKB036--330 which is 25 years old (installed circa 1997). This motor is wider (bigger diameter) than the original one and because of that the fan blades touch the body of the motor. So I can not use it to replace the old motor. Will be returning this one.

The OEM product exactly matched my older one which gave me over confidence. After swapping out the motor and reinstalling everything including Run cap and fan blades, the motor refused to run. The rotor was jammed and I was scared that it was the same issue and another reviewer who had to return it. Uninstalled the whole thing and directly hooked up the motor without any fan blades connected, something I should have done first. Still wouldn’t turn. Took a wrench and kept turning the motor shaft by hand, also sprayed some WD40. After a few minutes the motor started to turn. Again reinstalled everything back. Took me 3 times the effort. Wish they had tested the motor before sending it, or at least put some instructions to test / loosen motor shaft before installing. So dropping a star for that. Has been running for a day now.
