Foldables -- Trucks, Dinosaurs, Monsters and More!: Never-Ending Fun to Color, Fold and Flip (Dover Kids Activity Books)

tricky to color and assemble
This is a good project for kids older than the pictures will appeal to. The pictures are very preschool/lower elementary in appearance, but much too complicated for young children to want to color. Some of the pictures share panels with other pictures in the foldable, and it gets quite confusing which thing should be colored what hue unless you assemble it first; but if you assemble it first, then it's harder to color. The adult ends up doing all the work. I'd say 10 - 12 is the sweet spot for the coloring and assembling, but 4-8 is the sweet spot for the actual illustrations.

Better for older kids.
The images are very detailed and so small they are hard for younger kids to color. Good for older kids with good coloring skills.

the designs are fun. However
The concept is cute; the designs are fun. However, because many of the design elements are small it was not easy coloring for a child under six. The construction of the folded item required significant adult help for a child of six years. The online video was very helpful; the instructions in the book...not so much.

Wish there was a already colored book
I wish they gave you the option of colored or not. I like the puzzle of it. If I had an option of the pages already colored, I would have bought it over the not colored

Nice gift for a child
Foldables make a great gift. I'm giving these to a boy who enjoys origami, so I think he'll really enjoy folding them after coloring.

I love hattifant
Great book of never ending cards. I especially liked the life cycle of a butterfly. Hattifant has never let me down!

Hmm
I really liked the idea of these books, but am quite disappointed on many accounts. Firstly I tried using felt pens but the colour seeped through the page to the other side making it difficult to colour over. Secondly as an Adult I found the colouring very intricate, which I like, and the folding instructions not particularly easy to follow. My main concern is that these books are aimed at children but i think even 9,10 11 yr olds would get bored by the intricate colouring and would need adult help to complete each page. Its such a shame because they are lovely books.

More than one sitting.
Beautiful, easy to colour, something to bring out occasionally or on a rainy day. Suitable for kids and adults too.

Top, and fun craft idea
This is an excellent craft. Colour in, create, and help kids develop coordination. Great for kids with their parents, grandparents... Fun and creative family time guaranteed.
