Matte Nail Polish (Green) - Nawsome Sauce

Bought this because it's marketed as brown matte polish. It is faintly matte, needs to be put on swiftly or it clumps up and looks funky. Also very glittery for a simple matte brown. Love glitter and shine but didn't expect or want it with this polish.

If you want a matte finish, as I did, this is the one! Fun name too!

I expected this polish to be a little brighter - a little more "fuschia" - but it is definitely darker. Perhaps I just got a weird batch, I don't know. Still, a great color! Can definitely be a one-coater.The formula on this is spot on, it is just thick enough to make this work as a one-coater, but not so thick that it starts to feel like a mountain of mush on your nails. However, as with almost any matte polish, you have to work fast! It dries to the touch (not completely!) in under a minute, and starts to solidify in a matter of seconds, so you have to work quickly to get it all spread around the way you want before it dries. Once you get the hang of it, it's awesome.I've worn it on its own and also topped with a flakey glitter (China Glaze Luxe and Lush), followed by a matte topcoat (Butter London Matte Finish).Moreover, this polish is GREAT as a non-matte - after applying Luxe and Lush (flakey glitter), then a layer of fast-dry regular (non-matte) topcoat, my manicure was amazing!

This was my first black nail polish for myself. I liked this product a lot for the durability. I'm not to found of the smell of nail polish when you try to put it on. Also after maybe like a week or so, not matter how well you put the nail polish on it will chip at the edge of the nail and at the back of your nail. I would recomend this to anyone and would buy this product again. Just a bit of warning, removing the nail polish is a bit of a struggle and if your using nail polish removers you will damage the top layer of your nail. It's not too serious just moisturize it with lotion or what ever you have and let it heal on its own, about a week or so.

I have Matte is Murder, Fatty's Got More Blood, Nawsome Sauce, Cabron, Mink Mitten, Lesbihonest, Fuggen Ugly, Butt Taco, Royal Matterimoaning, Santorum, & Mayonaise.Every one but Mayo is easily opaque with one coat.I usually add a quick dry glossy top coat.Dries super fast, so if I need a quick Mani or Pedi I use a quick dry ridge filling base, one coat of color, & add top coat. Out the door in 10 min top.Lasting power is good tho I don't do a ton with my hands.I have boatloads of polish but tend to grab this most often as I'm impatient.

I have to start off by saying that the people over at ManGlaze are amazing. They are friendly, kind and generous. To be honest, I only bought their nail polish for the mechanics here at my shop to do detailing on our motorcycles . Their Matte Black (Matte Is Murder) is the perfect color and consistency for what we need, and the polish stays! Now that I have gotten a chance to look and try their other colors, I'm a customer for life. Thanks everyone over at ManGlaze, you guys are the best!

I'm overdue for an update on this review. ManGlaze contacted me and offered to send replacement bottles, as they were sure that I must have received defective product somehow. I accepted and agreed to update my review - for better or worse.The verdict? Zoya's Dovima still beats Matte is Murder, hands down. I did get a better result than I did the first go-round. I am still a little worried about the short shelf life of the polish if a long wait to purchase the bottle I first got was, indeed, the deciding factor on the quality - it's not uncommon for a bottle of polish to sit around a year waiting for the right season for the color.If you want a product that will last and aren't too fussed about it staying matte after the first day, this might do you just fine. If you want a truly matte polish, you might look elsewhere.ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS:I like black polish. I like matte polish. Here's a company that specializes in matte polish, I'll give it a try. What a waste of money! This applies unevenly, dries to a satin rather than matte finish, and looks a mess no matter how skillfully it's applied.Zoya's Dovima and OPI's mattes are better than this. You'd be better off with Butter London's Union Jack and Mattifying Topcoat than this chunky waste of money.
