I originally bought Irwin spade bits but they would dull after only one or two holes. Theses Dewalt spade bits are much more durable and I can drill several stumps before they will eventually dull. They are easy to resharpen

Better than what is pictured, its black and has an angle on the outer edge. My other spade bits do not have this. Shredded through a pretty much solid wood wall like butter in seconds. I think I was laughing at how easy it was and how much wood was flying out. I was having problems getting through with other bits and spade bits, maybe they were a bit dull.

I got this to drill a hole in my workshop wall to run wires for my wind turbine it did the job with no problems
