I have had this speaker for about 6 hours. Most of my day has been a nightmare, thanks to Libratone.I looked the app up on the play store. It was not there, but there was evidence of a lot of other people trying to find it (autofiilling "libratone app", "libratone speaker app"... so, I went back to libratone's web site and followed a link. It took me to what I assume is a shadow area of the play store. It said it was installing/ installed, but I did not see it. It did not install on the (tablet) I tried to install it on, but on my phone, in another room, without my consent. I took it off my phone (I will not turn on location, for anything, period) and now I can not install it on anything else. It says I have it installed on one device (I do not). I have tried 4 different android devices, and it will only install on a phone with an active sim!Why does a small personal speaker need location to work? Why does it need an app just to connect?The app itself has dozens of 1 star reviews. It seems that even if you manage to get it installed and connected it does not work well, drops signal, etc. Some said that their ear buds, speaker, headphonnes worked before the app, and now they do not any more.I never considered reading reviews at the Google play store prior to making a purchase, but if I had I never would have bought this speaker. It is going back.I am saddened by this. It sounded just like what I was looking for. As soon as it got here I started charging it, and sat down to read the manual. I did not manage too get anything else done today. Attempting to download/ install this program took my entire day.At one point I plugged in an aux cable to see if it was worth the effort. The screen on my music player went black and it would only play through its' own speaker. This is a real problem for me., I ALWAYS listen on my fIIo. It has a dac, and aptx, and ldac and sounds a lot better than a phone. Besides this the only other equipment (and I have *a lot*) which would not work with my fiio was Bose, same reason. They are more interested in your personal information than in the equipment they are selling.{Incidentally, the manual for the Altexc Lansing reads "share your music, not your data"} I like Altec Lansing. They make nice equipment, very reasonable priced, and very reasonable policies!Libratone is now the second company I will never purchase anything from again.The question is, do I replace it with another Sony (I have 4) or a JBL extreme? or maybe, I should just get the Denon.What I am not getting is anything else from Libratone.apologies for the rant, but I have never had an experience like this. Since when does a company install software on a different piece of equipment without asking your consent?

I've had many portable Bluetooth speakers over the years and this is by far the best. Until I purchased this speaker a few weeks ago, my favorite speaker was UE Boom which I enjoyed for 3 years. Here's a summary of my experience:Sound qualityI thought the sound quality of the Boom was awesome. Then I listened to the Libratone ONE click and discovered the UE Boom sound is loud but not pure at all. The first thing I noticed was ONE click has much more bass. But it is not just a speaker with heavy bass, it also sounds superior at the high treble sounds. It has a full range sound that is better than Bose, Beats or UE Boom . It also has the same 360 degree sound that I loved from my old UE Boom, which means you can hear the music clearly from any direction and don't need to be standing immediately in front of it (which is what I hate about Bose speakers).Splash proofI bought this before going on vacation a few weeks ago and it is listed as splash proof. So I decided to give it a try one day at the pool. I placed it on the side of the pool, and challenged my daughters to splash it. They went crazy! The ONE cLick withstood a deluge of splashes and finally the last splash knocked it over. I picked up by its handle, dried it with a towel and turned it on. It worked perfectly and sounded like normal. I can attest that so far Libratone's marketing claim seems to be valid.HangingThis speaker rocks when it comes to flexibility. It is rectangular and stands fine in a variety of compact locations like a window sill. It also comes with two attachments--a short rubber handle that can attach and detach easily so you can loop it over something and then reattach it, and what they call a lock. The lock is the size of a coat hanger hook but it locks securely in place after you hook it over something. I have until it from the bathroom door handle, a kitchen cabinet knob so it was off the counter, the headrest on the passenger car seat so the kids can listen to tunes, and even a tree limb when we were roasting s'mores at a campsite. It is so practical.Overall this is the best Bluetooth speaker I have owned and I highly recommend it.

We've tried and been disappointed by several speakers on the market, some from companies that are recognized as providing high quality products. This is NOT the case with Libratone! It's cute, super portable, durable and the sound is great. The design is also clever and reminiscent of a dial on a traditional radio. The color is playful and it's nice to hold or look at on my bathroom counter. Can't wait to test drive it on my next trip.
