Damaged
This is an expensive book. But the way it is delivered and also damaged binding make it sour experience. I have raised a request to replace and will see how it goes.

... my Social Psychology course I'm taking and I absolutely love it. The content is superbly well written
I rented this book for my Social Psychology course I'm taking and I absolutely love it. The content is superbly well written, engaging, relates to everyone on some level, and insightful. There's a bit of side humor now and then that really catches me by surprise but adds to the educational depth of this textbook. This work by Myers and Twenge encompasses the dynamic field of Social Psychology in a way that truly made me more involved with my own surroundings. In fact, I am considering going into research due to this textbook.

Lets take a road trip back in time.
This is one the worst things I've had to pay money for and by far the worst text I've ever paid to read.It paints historical events with a bias and factually incorrect for one, for another it feels like the book was written in 1970 in tone but 2004 if the information in it is to be believed. On top of that the chapter on "Gender" is so woefully vacuous that it feels like it's ignoring the last 30 years of research on the topic. Regardless of personal opinions on the matter, if you become a mental health professional, I/O psychologist or Social Scientist of any kind you'll have to work with or serve a gender diverse population and this book does little to nothing to educate the reader on those peoples. In fact, it insists they barely exist. That's just one example of how short this book falls on the topics within. I hate to say it but my instincts tell me this book had a bias in it's writing that doesn't belong in this field. If that weren't bad enough the so called "shortened" chapters still sometimes have upwards 15 or more key terms that serve no purpose and have no special meaning outside the lay person understanding. If you have to get it for class like I did, try to find it used or rent it.

Interesting book
For the most part, the book was very insightful. I didn't expect much out of a book required for class but it's a nice read if you're into it.
