Alex Toys Bathtime Fun Dirty Dogs

This is a great little bath toy. It's not perfect, obviously. The spots only partially disappear sometimes (might have to do with the temp of the water or how long submerged). And someone complained about them getting moldy. All bath toys run that risk -if you're sure to squeeze out the water at the end of the bath and occasionally clean, it extends their life. The several kids I've bought these for (toddlers) love them.

Second time ordering these the kids love them. The “mud” does scrub off but you can still see a little or it. bThey work well and are cute especially for kids who love dogs. They do mold like any other bath toy with a whole if you don’t want to be replacing them you can try to close the hole with hot glue but then they won’t squirt.

I gave these squirt toys a five for "fun" because my three year old son really enjoys scrubbing them over and over again. My one year old likes to chew on them, so I guess he's happy too :D I give it a three for "educational value" because I'm not sure that it's intended to be educational. Certainly, it gives children a taste of the futility of keeping a little creature clean, but beyond that? I gave it a four for "durability" because I really don't know yet. It's only been a day. They seem well made, but squirt toys require a certain amount of care to keep them from getting moldy. I give it a five "overall" because I would definitely buy this again and recommend this toy to a friend.

I bought these for two very bath resistant boys. They took them out of the package and started playing with them before we even got into the tub! They look forward to the bath now so they can play with their "special" bath toys.The water needs to be warm for the "magic" to happen. As the bath started cooling off, the spots came back and that really made the youngest mad! He was scrubbing the dog for all he was worth trying to get the spots back off! The little rag that comes with it is a little small for the youngest to really grip and use. We just use a regular washcloth.They've even named the dogs and play with them like they're running around in the yard getting dirty and then need to get into the bath!

Cute dirty dogs. I loved them so much until we noticed brown slimy stuff coming out of one of the dogs when my son squeezed it. Turns out it was mold. Not so cute. We threw out all of the dogs and ordered another set but decided that we would not allow them to go into the tub and get wet unless we sealed the holes with glue. I absolutely love the dogs and my son loved squeezing them and making bubbles under water. I tried and tried to get all of the water out but just not possible. If we didn't have the mold issue, I would definitely give 5 stars as these dogs are super cute and perfect to squeeze for little hands. I absolutely recommend getting them, just be careful once you start noticing anything coming out when they are squeezed. Don't be deterred. The product is great. My son thoroughly enjoys playing with them.
